📰 In the news
Introducing Rhythm in the Wild: Palm Beach Zoo will open after dark on nights February 13 to 25 with animal encounters, music, and drinks. Tickets start at $17.95, with a day and night combo available — see dates, features and pricing.
Bourbon, barbecue, and flair: Downtown West Palm Beach has launched West Palm Cowboy Club, a first-of-its-kind dining and nightlife spot. Grammy-winning producer Thomas Wesley is musical director, blending Nashville vibes with South Florida flavors — get all the delicious details.
Inside her path to impact: West Palm Beach’s Victoria Friel, general manager at Kirkland Event and Destination Services, was recognized by Influential Women for standout event leadership and community mentoring, including coaching varsity girls basketball — read the full story.
Compare rates for free: The national average for car insurance is around $175 per month. Paying more than that? Same, so I did some shopping around and ended up cutting my premium in half. If you haven’t checked in a while, you’re probably overpaying too — here’s the comparison tool I used.
Protect your nest egg: Savvy investors are turning to gold amidst today’s inflation, national debt, and market uncertainty for a reason. It holds its value when everything else feels shaky. Case in point: it’s up ~62% since this month last year. If you’re curious about adding it and other precious metals to your portfolio, American Hartford has a super helpful guide that covers everything you need to know. It’s free, and definitely worth a read — check it out here.

Highlights this week:

🫶 We got your back
A night of masterworks: Palm Beach Symphony will welcome cellist Alisa Weilerstein on January 13 at Dreyfoos Hall in the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. She will play Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1. The program also includes Daniel Asia’s Gateways and Richard Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony. Weilerstein is a MacArthur Fellow. See what’s on the program.
Cider worth the drive: Craving something crisp beyond the usual beer run? Broski Ciderworks pours Florida-inspired ciders like mango and passion fruit, with a clean, refreshing snap. Multiple U.S. Open Cider wins and a cozy, game-friendly taproom make a southbound detour feel like a tiny vacation.
Make your place pop: When your living room feels meh, Hive Home, Gift & Garden delivers fresh furniture, lighting, thoughtful accents, and an in-house floral studio for finishing touches. Consider it a quick refresh for your space, no full-on reno required.
Thinning hair? Same: I’ve been shedding a lot, and recently noticed my ponytail feeling thinner. After way too much panic-Googling, I discovered Keranique’s hair regrowth system. Everything with them is surprisingly easy: no quizzes, no pills, no choosing between dozens of products. Just grab the kit and follow the instructions. The best part? It’s $75 off right now, you’ll get three free gifts, AND you’ll get your money back if you don’t love the results.

OnSpot Dermatology brings quick 15-minute skin cancer screenings, lesion checks and removals, and prescriptions to Baywinds, in-network with most plans, so book it and let a pro eyeball those sun spots.
