Celebrating local wedding style: Final submissions for the 2025 Vegas Wedding Dress of the Year contest close January 15, 2026, and the winning dress will be displayed at Harry Reid International Airport in February — see eligibility and how to enter.
Direct access to hiring employers: Southern Nevada kicks off 2026 with EmployNV hiring events and January career sessions. Highlights include January 7 and January 14 opportunities, with pay from $15 to $20 an hour — see dates, locations and pay.
Compare rates for free: The national average for car insurance is around $175 per month. Paying more than that? Same, so I did some shopping around and ended up cutting my premium in half. If you haven’t checked in a while, you’re probably overpaying too — here’s the comparison tool I used.
Protect your nest egg: Savvy investors are turning to gold amidst today’s inflation, national debt, and market uncertainty for a reason. It holds its value when everything else feels shaky. Case in point: it’s up ~62% since this month last year. 🫶 We got your back
What candidates need to know: Henderson opens judicial candidate filing today through Jan. 16, excluding weekends, for Municipal Court Judge, Dept. 1. Applicants must book an in-person appointment at the City Clerk’s Office. Hours run Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Fridays added for filing only. Non-judicial filing starts March 2. See how and when to file.
Swap screen time for dinks: With 18 outdoor courts, Black Mountain Recreation Center is your low-stress place to find a match without pinging the whole group chat. Grab a paddle, dial in your soft game, and get sweat you’ll actually enjoy… the kind that comes with friendly rallies and sunshine.
Beat the wiggles: When energy levels go nuclear, Wally Wombats is an easy go-to, an indoor playground with a dedicated arcade and birthday setups that don’t require math. Socks required, café snacks available, and the kids run while you actually breathe for five glorious minutes.
Thinning hair? Same: I’ve been shedding a lot, and recently noticed my ponytail feeling thinner. After way too much panic-Googling, I discovered Keranique’s hair regrowth system. Everything with them is surprisingly easy: no quizzes, no pills, no choosing between dozens of products. Just grab the kit and follow the instructions. The best part? It’s $75 off right now, you’ll get three free gifts, AND you’ll get your money back if you don’t love the results.
