How To Create a Business Website (in under 60 minutes)

For just $17 per month.

No tech skills needed. Just follow these steps.

What You’ll Need Before Starting

  • Your business name and address
  • Your phone number and email
  • 3-5 photos of your business (even phone photos work)
  • A one-sentence description of what you do

Step 1: Create Your Free Wix Account (2 minutes)

  1. Go to wix.com
  2. Click “Get Started”
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Click “Sign Up”

Step 2: Tell Wix About Your Business (3 minutes)

Wix will ask you a few questions:

  1. Select your business type (restaurant, salon, contractor, etc.)
  2. Enter your business name
  3. Skip any upsells—just click “Continue” or “Skip”

Step 3: Pick a Template (5 minutes)

  1. Wix will show you templates made for your business type
  2. Scroll through and pick one that looks clean and simple
  3. Don’t overthink it—you can change colors and photos later
  4. Click “Edit This Site”

Step 4: Add Your Business Info (15 minutes)

Click directly on any text to change it. Replace the placeholder text with:

Homepage:

  • Your business name
  • What you do in one sentence
  • Your main phone number

About Page:

  • A short paragraph about your business (2-3 sentences is fine)
  • How long you’ve been in business
  • What makes you different

Contact Page:

  • Your address
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Hours of operation

Step 5: Add Your Photos (10 minutes)

  1. Click on any placeholder image
  2. Click “Change Image”
  3. Click “Upload Media”
  4. Select photos from your computer or phone
  5. Repeat for 3-5 images throughout the site

Tip: Photos of your actual business, team, or work beat stock photos every time.

Step 6: Check Your Site on Mobile (5 minutes)

  1. Click the phone icon at the top of the editor
  2. Look through each page
  3. Make sure text is readable and buttons are easy to tap
  4. Switch back to desktop view when done

Step 7: Connect Your Domain (10 minutes)

  1. Click “Upgrade” in the top menu
  2. Choose the cheapest plan (around $17/month)
  3. Search for your business name .com
  4. Follow the checkout steps

Step 8: Publish Your Site (2 minutes)

  1. Click the blue “Publish” button in the top right
  2. Click “Publish” again to confirm
  3. Your site is now live

You’re Done.

Your website is live. Share the link with customers.
