Splashtacular brings water-filled fun to the Fitness Center Pools, featuring pool games, relays, and The Big Splash, with plenty of ways to cool off alongside family and friends. For an added challenge, register for the Cardboard Boat Derby, build a cardboard vessel, and see if it can make it across the pool without sinking. Cardboard for boat construction is available for pickup at the Duarte Fitness Center while supplies last. General admission is $5 for all ages, and $10 includes admission plus entry into the Cardboard Boat Derby. All ages are welcome, and children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. An open, family-friendly park day for homeschoolers is sponsored by Excellence in Education Academy at Encanto Park. The atmosphere is relaxed and mostly unstructured, giving families a chance to meet, make friends, and enjoy time outdoors together. There is no participation fee, and enrollment with the academy is not required to attend. Parents can connect with one another and share ideas, younger children can build motor skills through play, and teens have opportunities for face to face interaction. Families often bring blankets or chairs, food, and simple games. Card and board games are welcome, but anything with mature themes is not permitted, and games should be suitable for all ages to see and hear. Device use is discouraged for teens. This is not a drop off activity. Every minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and adults are responsible for supervising their own children. Be prepared for hot days when kids may get wet. All participants are expected to be kind to one another and respectful of the park’s wildlife. Please do not bring alcohol. Chalk drawings should be kept to the sidewalks, not the tennis courts or park walls. Attendance can be lighter during extreme weather. Regular gatherings are not scheduled during Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks, although families may still visit the park on their own. Because the event takes place in a public setting, photos or videos may be taken by others and could be publicly visible.

Painting with Purpose is a youth art program for children ages 7 and up. Guided classes nurture creativity, confidence, emotional awareness, and compassion. Weekly painting sessions led by an instructor introduce techniques and give participants time to explore their artistic skills.

Hero Play Day at Kiddie Academy of Pasadena is a free community gathering featuring hero-themed adventures and playful learning activities that encourage children to discover their own strengths.
