Future Creators Experience Day offers a free, hands-on immersion in six creative disciplines for children ages 8 to 12. Parents may remain on site and observe as they wish. No prior experience in coding, music, photography, filmmaking, or performing is necessary.
With patient guidance from experienced mentors, participants sample AI-assisted software engineering and game making, AI music production with Suno, VidMuse AI filmmaking, photography and video, pop vocal training, and the basics of operating systems and networking. Game sessions use professional tools such as Python, Visual Studio Code, and modern AI helpers to show how characters, mechanics, and logic come together, rather than relying on entry-level sandbox platforms. Music workshops turn ideas and lyrics into original tracks. Filmmaking covers character creation, scene design, and storyboarding with AI supporting the process. Visual media lessons build composition, camera work, lighting, and narrative skills, including practice capturing live stage activity. Vocal classes focus on breath, tone, rhythm, microphone technique, and stage presence. Technical labs explore computer hardware, operating systems, networks, and simple hands-on activities.
Every child completes a project and then shares it. Some will present games, AI-generated songs, short films, photos, videos, or computing projects on a large classroom screen, and selected singers may perform on a professional stage while photo and video students document the performance. Instruction is individualized so beginners can start with animations and simple interactions while faster movers tackle level design, scoring, sound effects, saved data, and other advanced features.
At the end, families meet briefly with an instructor to discuss interests and suggested next steps in the quarterly program, including learning goals, example beginner projects, schedules, and enrollment options. Same-day enrollees receive special benefits, and details of a laptop promotional gift program are explained by staff during the event. The day is led by Peter Chiu, a software engineer, system administrator, game developer, composer, arranger, and songwriter; Peter Wu, a professional photographer, videographer, and creative media instructor; and Billy Chow, a professional singer, music educator, and vocal coach. Activities take place at Peter Studio.
