Drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine, ancient wisdom traditions, astrology, and holistic wellness practices such as crystal work and practical tools, the session explores the meaning of the solstice and the fire element. Themes include joy, heart-led living, creativity, and expansion, with guidance on translating these energies into clear, aligned intentions. From a TCM perspective, the workshop highlights the Heart organ system and the Fire element, along with seasonal dietary and lifestyle suggestions. Astrological insights consider how elemental influences touch different zodiac signs across the summer arc of the zodiac. Integration practices include a guided solstice meditation or visualization, crystal support for the season with stones such as carnelian, sunstone, and citrine, journaling prompts, seasonal self-care, and a group sharing circle to encourage connection and reflection. The gathering runs about two and a half to three hours in person. Participants receive a spiral bound workbook to take home, with optional ritual kits available, and follow-up materials that include a meditation and additional journaling prompts. An ocean-themed art show fills the East County Art Association Gallery with creativity, community, and a shared bond with the sea. The exhibition invites artists to spotlight marine life in their work, highlighting the oceans’ beauty, vitality, and character. A cash award is presented each year to a selected piece that conveys a deep affection for marine life and treasured beaches. Featured works include two new photo composites, “Deep Sea Serenade,” which portrays an octopus at a piano and layers 32 photographs into 82 elements within an ornate wood frame, and “Jellyfish in the Midnight Current,” built from 22 photographs and 29 layers. The show also includes “An Ocean Dream,” a mixed media piece by artist Ellary Jane. An art reception is part of the program. The gallery is open to the public and now features The Diver’s Cup, a coffee and tea shop located inside.

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED course builds the skills to deliver CPR and operate an AED safely and promptly. It explains how high quality CPR supports survival and outlines the Chain of Survival. Participants learn to recognize when help is needed, perform adult CPR, work effectively with others, give breaths by mouth or with a mask, and use an AED on adults. Optional modules add CPR and AED use for children and CPR for infants, along with techniques for assisting a choking infant. The curriculum also covers how to help a choking adult or child. Training is guided by video for consistent learning, followed by instructor-led practice and skills checks. Content reflects the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. The Equestrian Guild offers mounted games and training in foundational horsemanship, with practice designed for developing skills on horseback. The box office cannot verify tickets bought through third-party sellers, so any issues must be resolved directly with the seller. The MagnoliaCamper - Derby(ies) after Dark
A team fishing derby for registered campers features night fishing on Lake 6 and Lake 7, which will be the only lakes open for this activity on the specified dates and will be stocked. Staff will operate a fish weigh-in station on the dirt access road between the two lakes. This is a pairs competition. Registered campers receive two participant wristbands at check-in. Guests may purchase additional team entries, up to a total of three teams per site, for $30 per team. All participants must be registered campers, and registration can be completed online or added to a reservation during booking. Prizes will be awarded after the event dates at the Lakeshore fire pit, with coffee and donuts for participants. Awards will recognize derby results, and there will also be raffle-style door prizes. Everyone who participates is entered in the door prize drawing, and each weighed fish earns an extra raffle entry.
