    Part of the Pomona Concert Band’s 79th Annual Summer Concert Series at the Palomares Park Community Center, this program spotlights Conductor Favorites led by Artistic Director Linda W. Taylor and hosted by columnist David Allen. The music features selections Taylor has cherished during her years with the ensemble, including Toccata for Band, On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss, Sousa’s Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Days of Wine and Roses, and Marching Down Broadway. Admission is free, and a concession stand will be open. Sponsored by the City of Pomona, the band brings together musicians from Pomona and more than twenty nearby communities and traces its roots to 1947 under founder G. Stanton Selby. This season is being presented at Palomares Park while the Ganesha Park bandshell undergoes emergency repairs.
