🎶👨👧👦 Make Music Day: Honoring Fathers & Father Figures
NEST hosts a free, family friendly celebration that is part of the global, national, and state Make Music Day movement. This special gathering honors fathers and father figures, including mentors, coaches, grandfathers, and others who have made a positive impact in our lives and communities. The program features live music and poetry, a school band and a DJ, a caricature artist, local vendors and community organizations, a water station, and family friendly entertainment. Guests can enjoy a relaxed, picnic style experience in the Love & Care Community Garden, bringing their own food and lawn chairs while taking in performances and connecting with neighbors. Artists are invited to participate, including musicians, poets, singers, and bands. Admission is free and open to the public. A rain date is listed, and everyone is welcome to celebrate music, family, and community as summer begins.
