📰 In the news
Board backs public access: Stamford’s Land Use and Redevelopment Committee unanimously advanced newly built North Ridge Road toward city street status, with a $45,200 two year maintenance bond and confirmation it meets city standards — see what the bond covers.
Grassroots drive for winter access: After last Monday’s blizzard, Stamford volunteers from a walkability group shoveled sidewalks for neighbors who couldn’t. Their effort spotlights city rules and pushes better cooperation on snow clearing — learn the rules and impact.
Exploring literacy in action: Norwalk Public Schools hosts Family Literacy Night today, with Fox Run, Brookside, and Marvin Elementary, plus digital reading, coding, online-safety games, and a live reading by Shannon McClintock Miller — get all the event details.
Nothing prepares you for a pet emergency: I learned that the hard way after charging $10k to a credit card for life-saving surgery on my cat, Miss Stache. As soon as we got home, I signed up for Spot. It’s super affordable – and reimburses up to 90% of the bill.

🏆 Gold and silver are heating up
Together with our sponsor American Hartford Gold
Gold just posted its strongest run in decades… and the momentum is carrying into 2026. Silver has become one of the most talked-about assets as investors look for ways to stay ahead of market volatility.
While many are still sitting on the sidelines, others are quietly repositioning.
If you’re wondering whether you’re missing something, AHG has a free guide explaining what’s driving the renewed interest… and how investors are approaching precious metals right now.
It’s free and worth reading before the next move.

🫶 We got your back
Char-grilled wing craving: Stamford weeknights call for jumbo char-grilled wings and crispy fried wings at Murphy’s Townhouse Cafe, served plain or Buffalo from the grill, or tossed in Thai, Garlic Parmesan, or BBQ from the fryer. Easy, satisfying, and built for sharing.
Glow-up, but smarter: La Suite Skincare pairs high-tech, glow-forward facials with a sharp edit of pro staples, like Biologique Recherche and Valmont, plus candid guidance for your at-home routine. When skin needs a reset, it’s an easy in-town fix that quietly, consistently delivers.
Keep the swing alive: At Sterling Farms Golf Course, winter blahs fade with an 18-hole public track, a heated year-round driving range, and legit on-site eats for the post-round recap. When conditions cooperate, the course hums; otherwise, the range keeps the routine rolling.
Thinning hair? It only gets worse: A few months ago, I noticed my ponytail getting thinner. I tried the usual stuff (biotin, shampoo, etc.) but mostly just hoped it would fix itself… until I learned that active follicles can permanently go dormant if you don’t do something about it. The good news? You can get treatment that actually works with no office visits or trips to the pharmacy. Learn more about my favorite online options here.
