Explore the Everglades on a gentle walk along the Cypress Boardwalk Trail focused on edible native plants. Learn about and taste flowers, leaves, and fruits that have been part of local diets for thousands of years, including plants traditionally used by the region's Native American communities for food and medicine. This free program is for ages 15 and up, and space is limited, so reservations are required. Call the Nature Center at 561-804-4985 to reserve a spot. Facebook reservations are not accepted. Wear comfortable closed toe walking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring a refillable water bottle. Binoculars are suggested. Check in at the Nature Center before the program begins.
