Hello Wellington! Hope your coffee tastes especially good this morning.Â
In todayâs bring-the-kiddos edition: Steve Rossâ mixed-income housing push, an anteater getting acupuncture, and a giant Diglett at a trading-card expo + excuses to get the fam out and about this week.
Todayâs sponsor, Spot Pet Insurance, is something I wish I had before a late-night emergency vet visit left me with a $10,000 credit card bill. Itâs cheaper than Netflix⊠and means you never have to choose between your pet and your savings. It takes less than 5 minutes to sign up â get started here.

đ° In the news
New leader spearheads affordability push: Steve Rossâ Related Ross launched a mixed-income division, with 164-unit Sapodilla in West Palm Beach, reserving 66 units for Ballet Village. Construction is planned this year, with completion in 2028 — see who’s leading the effort.
Behind-the-scenes veterinary innovation: At the Palm Beach Zoo, 26-year-old anteater Cruz is getting acupuncture to ease mobility issues, paired with avocados as a reward, reflecting comprehensive care and community partnerships near Wellington — read the full story.
Sun-soaked events await: March fun near Wellington as Hilton West Palm Beach hosts a tequila pairing dinner, Dine for a Cause Thursdays benefiting Best Buddies, restorative wellness, and free movie nights with popcorn — get the March events lineup.
Gold & silver are hot: Coming off goldâs best year since 1979, the momentum is carrying well into 2026 with silver remaining one of the most talked-about assets. Curious why theyâre back in focus? American Hartford Gold has a free guide that explains whatâs happening and how people are approaching it today. Itâs free â and definitely worth a read.
Compare rates for free: The national average for car insurance is around $175/month. Paying more than that? Same, so I did some shopping around and ended up cutting my premium in half. If you haven’t checked in a while, you’re probably overpaying too — here’s the comparison tool I used.
Highlights this week:

đŸ One pet emergency can cost $10,000+
Together with our sponsor Spot Pet Insurance
Nothing prepares you for a late-night emergency at the vet. I learned that the hard way after charging $10k to a credit card for life-saving surgery on my cat, Miss Stache.
From the initial exam fee just to be seen, to x-rays, surgery, medication, and follow-up visits⊠the bill racks up fast (to say the least). And at that moment? Youâre not thinking about your savings, youâre just saying yes to whatever keeps them thriving.
As soon as we got home, I dug around online and ultimately signed up for Spot.
Itâs super affordable and reimburses up to 90% on qualified vet bills. It was too late for me, but itâs not too late for you. Sign up today.

𫶠We got your back
Where to gear up: Family-owned since 1968, Nomad Surf Shop outfits Boynton locals with boards, wax, sun-safe layers, and those last-minute fins you swore were in the trunk. Youâll also find custom boards, rentals, and lessons to nudge that friend into the lineup this week.
Small plates, big vibe: Craving a treat-yourself night? At HMF, Palm Beachâs glam lounge energy becomes dinner, with globally inspired small plates like Wagyu sliders and fish tacos, plus a deep wine list. Perfect for catching up, people-watching, and stretching the weekend feeling.
Small theater, big taste: Stonzek Studio Theatre serves a steady mix of indies, docs, and foreign films in an intimate, no-fuss room that makes movie night feel personal. New selections arrive each week, a smarter swap for the megaplex and the kind of films you’ll actually want to talk about.
Access cash without selling your home: A reverse mortgage can help anyone over 62 cover everyday expenses, support healthcare needs, fund home improvements, or even reduce pressure on 401(k) withdrawals â all while staying in your home. Longbridge offers a free calculator to estimate how much flexibility your home could provide, with no commitment required.
