Latin freestyle is surging across Tampa Bay, with 135,000 views on Back to Freestyle content in one week and a packed opening night at The Drinks at 9 in Lutz. That momentum lands in Land O Lakes at Babe Coffee Lounge for a focused celebration of the genre. This is not a nightclub format, not a token throwback hour, and not a few tracks tucked between Top 40 sets. DJ Nando devotes the night to 80s and 90s Latin freestyle, pulling from 1983 through 1992 and letting the full cuts play, with artists such as Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, TKA, The Cover Girls, Expose, Shannon, George Lamond, Lisette Melendez, Debbie Deb, and Lil Suzy. The setting is intentionally intimate. Babe Coffee Lounge holds 70 people, the DJ is 10 feet from the dance floor, and the connection between crowd and music stays close. It offers a different feel than an arena. The Yuengling Center seats about 10,000 with tickets that start at $83, while this night is designed to keep the experience up close. This session of the Summer Culinary Camp is sold out. Young Chefs Academy Summer Camp offers an immersive, hands-on kitchen experience that blends fun with learning and confidence building. Participants build cooking and baking fundamentals, kitchen safety habits, creativity, teamwork, and awareness of current culinary trends while preparing new recipes each day. The program includes practical tips, clever techniques, and occasional surprises, and the week concludes with a friendly culinary challenge that showcases each group’s creativity. A fresh curriculum is introduced weekly, so every session feels new. Designed for ages 7 to 17, with groups arranged by age and skill level. Member discounts are available, and the program is a Direct Provider of Florida Step Up for Students. All food prepared during the camp must be consumed on site. A free community puzzle swap for all ages takes place at Pinecrest Academy Wesley Chapel. Bring jigsaw puzzles in good condition and go home with fresh challenges to enjoy. On arrival, place your puzzles on the tables, browse with coffee and snacks, then take part in the initial pick where each person selects one puzzle. More rounds follow so everyone can continue choosing until the tables are cleared, and if someone grabs the one you wanted, you can arrange a trade on a later turn. Any leftovers can be suggested for donation or shared with the library staff. There is no limit to how many puzzles you can bring, and all piece counts and skill levels are welcome, though contributing at least one or two is encouraged. You are welcome to share photos of what you plan to swap in the event discussion. For smooth exchanging, bring only clean puzzles free of odors, debris, and pet hair. Pokémon Trade Day at Nerdz With Money

Pokémon fans gather at Nerdz With Money for a relaxed trading day centered on card swaps and community. What used to be an evening meetup has shifted to daytime to make it easier for kids with earlier bedtimes to participate. The event includes giveaways for children and raffles for sealed products. Guests may not trade sealed items with one another, although sealed products can be traded in to the store as usual. Snap a photo during the fun and tag the shop for a chance to be featured on their story.

Drive Florida Horse Country Rally #85 - Tampa To Ocala

Drive Florida presents the inaugural Horse Country Rally, a full day crafted for car enthusiasts. The day begins with coffee and breakfast at Provisions Coffee & Kitchen, followed by a drivers meeting and a departure on a curated back road route through Florida's Horse Country. Portions of past drives return, but this edition highlights the country roads around Ocala. A group lunch at a handpicked venue is planned, then the drive continues across more of Central Florida's scenic back roads before the return to the Tampa Bay area. Registration includes more than 200 miles of driving, lunch for both driver and co-driver, event T-shirts for both, a rally decal set, and coverage by official media. The route is guided and full details will be provided to participants at the start of the event. It is a rally, not a race.

Babysitter Training + CPR/AED & First Aid Certification for Tweens & Teens | American Red Cross

Pre-teens and teens can build confidence and safety know-how through a blended babysitter training program held in the Bexley Community in Land O' Lakes, Florida. Participants complete an online module beforehand, then attend an in-person session focused on hands-on practice and skills evaluation. The curriculum covers core babysitting responsibilities, how to respond to emergencies, and practical strategies for caring for infants and children in everyday situations. Enrollment is limited. The fee is $150 per student and includes two American Red Cross credentials: a Babysitter’s Training Certification valid for ten years and an Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED certification valid for two years. Registered attendees receive additional course information and exact meeting details in advance.
