The best things to do in Clear Lake

“Short on time but itching to play? Oak Hills Par 30 Public Golf Course is perfect for a fast, no-fuss round that still keeps wedges honest and putters humble. Ideal for after-work swings, junior golfers, or shaking off the winter rust without burning half your Saturday.”

“Lake Theatre is temporarily closed while they fundraise and renovate, but this Clear Lake tradition is still very much ours to protect. Follow their journey and chip in to help modernize and preserve the hometown screen that held so many firsts, so future Friday nights stay right here at the lake.”

“Legacy Golf Course at the 19 blends a century of Mason City golf history with a traditional 18-hole, par-72 layout that’s fun and quietly challenging. It’s the kind of place you meet friends, chase birdies, then hang out at the pavilion for a post-round bite.”

“Cinema West Theatre keeps it simple for Clear Lake folks who want first-run movies without the trek. Stadium seating, digital sound, easy advance tickets through Quick TIX or the app, plus a loyalty program that actually remembers you... it's the low-key, reliable plan when the lake plans fall through.”
