National Library Week Tattoos @ DeKalb Tattoo Company
DeKalb Public Library and DeKalb Tattoo Company are partnering for a National Library Week celebration featuring a one day flash tattoo event at DeKalb Tattoo Company. Explore a selection of library themed designs created and applied by local artists to celebrate books and libraries. This event is designed for adults. Prices start at $100, with exact amounts posted on the flash sheets beside each design. All forms of payment are accepted. Walk ins are welcome and will be served in the order of arrival. Appointments are also available for that day or another day with the artist of your choice. Guests may attend and check out pop up tables hosted by community organizations and artists. Every Saturday features Lightning, a fast-paced style of bingo with a cash jackpot awarded in each round. Everyone is welcome to take part.
Beyblade Club
Beyblade fans can enjoy relaxed, friendly battles at DeKalb Public Library. Arenas will be set out for use, and a limited selection of older tops will be available to borrow. Participants are encouraged to bring their own Beyblades, and you may also bring personal arenas or accessories to try out. Play is open and unstructured with no tournament bracket. Please note that personal items are used at your own risk, and the library is not responsible for damage. This program is intended for ages 6 and up, and registration is not required.
DeKalb Public LibraryDrum Club Sessions 2026
Percussion sessions at The Music Connection, LLC in Sycamore, IL provide hands-on training for students. Participants receive expert guidance from staff on rudimental percussion, drum set, mallet percussion, and related techniques. Music and instruments are supplied, and attendees should bring drumsticks and earplugs. The participation fee is $20 per student, payable upon arrival by cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal, and it covers music, instruments, and staff support. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
