Set aside time together with guided meditation activities that help families connect. Each session can include creative art elements, simple movement, and other relaxing practices. The cost is $20 per family.
PUNGS for PAWS
Enjoy an afternoon centered on mahjong, shopping, raffles, and animal-themed fun at First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge in the Conference Center, all in support of a good cause. Players of every experience level are welcome, and tiles and table setups are provided. Entry is $30 per person or $100 for a table of four, which also includes entry into the Best in Show table-decorating contest, with decorated tables and costumes encouraged. A prize will be awarded for the highest score. A special raffle features a tile set from The Mahjong House, The Jewels: Sapphire House Tiles, valued at $455. Raffle tickets are $20 each. No need to be present to win, and the prize can be shipped to the winner, with shipping costs not included. The drawing will take place during the event. Expect on-site vendors, door prizes, additional raffle items, and photo opportunities with baby wallabies or baby kangaroos. Vendor opportunities are available.
