At Twin City Dragway, Slabfest Carshow & Shootout 2026 brings side by side racing, a large judged show, and sound competitions together in one place. The Daily Overdrive and True Street shootouts each have a $100 buy in with an additional $1,000 added to the pot. There are also test and tune sessions and grudge racing. The 8th Annual Community Health & Wellness Expo is a free community event at the Monroe Civic Center Conference Hall that connects individuals and families with health resources, wellness services, education, and activities for every stage of life. The theme, Moving Across Generations, emphasizes well-being and connection across all ages. Guests can take part in health screenings and wellness services, explore community resource booths, learn through health education, and join fitness demonstrations and activities. The experience includes family-friendly offerings, giveaways and door prizes, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and healthcare providers working to expand access and improve outcomes. Special guest DaShaun Johnson, The Guru of Abs, will lead an intergenerational fitness session designed to get people of all ages moving together. The expo has brought together hundreds each year by uniting healthcare providers, nonprofits, businesses, and community partners committed to healthier communities. Admission is free and open to the public. Presented by Holistic Vibes Foundation in partnership with Ochsner LSU Health Monroe Medical Center, with media support from KTVE/KARD.
