Warhammer 40K - Test of Endurance

A fast, friendly Warhammer 40,000 throwdown returns each month on the last Sunday, built for four hours of nonstop multi-player action with unlimited respawns, prizes, and plenty of table space. The entry is $25, and members receive $5 back in store credit. Every participant gets a copy of White Dwarf, complimentary drinks and snacks, a 9-inch personal pizza with up to three toppings from Primanti Brothers, a $5 gift card, and a special Games Workshop discount available throughout the day. Eliminations can also turn into store credit, so every takedown matters. Bring up to three units in any mix, whether troops, characters, monsters, or vehicles. Points do not factor in until something is destroyed, at which time the player who scored the kill gains battle points equal to the defeated unit’s value. Initiative each round is randomized with a deck of cards, resolving from lowest to highest. When a unit activates, spawn it if it is off the table by rolling a d6 to determine a zone on a 4-by-6 battlefield that has been divided into six 2-by-2 areas, then place it along the table edge and take a normal 40K turn. Each battlefield features two objectives, and holding one at the end of a round earns objective points equal to the unit’s cost, as long as at least two players are sharing that table. Respawns are unlimited and can even move you to a different table. Store credit prizes are awarded for top overall points, the highest tally of natural ones, the most upsets where a lower-cost unit removes a higher-cost threat, and the unit that is taken out the most. New and veteran 40K players are welcome, and painted or unpainted armies are perfectly fine.

Cody Tyler @ Foster’s on the Point (band)

Cody Tyler and his band bring a gritty, Appalachian-rooted country sound to Foster’s On The Point. Grounded in generations of family ties to Pennsylvania’s coal and rust belt, Cody shaped many of his songs while hunting and hiking in the state’s backcountry. The group’s debut, Stare Your Demons Down, was recorded with Jeff McKinnon at Think Loud Studios in York and at Full Tilt Productions in Mechanicsburg, then mastered in Nashville by Grammy winner Pete Lyman, whose credits include Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, and Tyler Childers. The album’s feel leans rugged, soulful and blues kissed, made for boot kicking moments. Influences span Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, The Allman Brothers Band and Sturgill Simpson, giving Cody’s voice and guitar a seasoned character across generations. On stage he is joined by lead guitarist Raif Groves, drummer Gavin Orth and fretless bassist Sean Grahn, a lineup that folds bluegrass and southern rock into a sound Cody calls Black Dirt Country. Recognition includes Album of the Year for Stare Your Demons Down and Best Country Band at the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards in 2023, and the band has shared bills with national acts such as Charles Wesley Godwin, Chris Janson, Cole Swindell and Gabby Barrett.
