A new farmers market with an added arts and crafts focus is launching, offering a spacious setting for vendors. Vendor fees are waived for the first month, or until visitor traffic grows, to help build momentum and encourage shopping. This calm, hour-long gathering at the library centers on folding paper peace cranes. Participants focus on mindfulness and share wishes for peace, and finished cranes are gradually bundled into sets of 1,000 to be sent out into the world. People of all ages can take part. No prior experience is needed, instruction is available, and paper is provided.

Open to everyone, this community meal emphasizes good food and connection. A limited number of take-out meals will be available, and delivery may be possible for those who qualify, determined through a brief survey. Elmo’s Got the Moves brings Elmo and his Sesame Street friends to the Cross Insurance Center stage in a new Sesame Street Live production with singing, dancing, and songs including "Sunny Days," "Elmo’s Got the Moves," and "Letter of the Day." The experience is designed for families to laugh, learn, and play together. Please note that the performance uses flashing lights, haze or fog, and confetti.
