Professional anglers are eligible to enter for a $500 fee through the tour’s website, and each pro will be paired at random with an AM boat official to compete as a team. The goal is to record the team’s top eight fish in the Reel LiveWell app for official scoring. Past visits to Gull Lake have often been decided in the final moments, and similar excitement is anticipated. The day begins with blast off, continues until lines out, and wraps up with an awards ceremony. Live updates will be available through the Reel LiveWell app and on social media from Baxter, Minnesota, and event sponsors will be on site.

Experience an outdoor yoga session at Gregory Park with Monroe Yoga. This one hour class focuses on calming the mind, connecting breath with movement, and building strength, balance, and flexibility. All levels are welcome, including beginners, seasoned practitioners, and prenatal students. Children may take part when accompanied by an adult, and the same rate applies to each participant. Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket, or towel, as props will not be available. The class takes place in a grassy area toward the back of the park. The cost is $15 per student. Advance sign-up is encouraged through the Monroe Yoga Facebook event, by private message, or by submitting payment via Venmo or PayPal, and cash is accepted on the day of class. After arriving in Brainerd with her husband Bill in 1959, she moved from elementary education into the arts and became a pillar of Central Lakes College, leading the art department for more than thirty years. She also helped establish The Crossing Arts and served as its president, shaping the region’s cultural landscape with energetic leadership. Working in many mediums, she found her deepest connection with watercolor, drawn to its freedom, movement, and happy surprises. The airy, playful character of her compositions reflects the same curiosity and joy she brought to teaching and to life. True to the kitchen‑table message she lived by, people do not need to fully understand or even prefer every work to value the experience of seeing it. This show invites visitors to explore with that spirit in mind. In keeping with her belief that art should be within reach, many pieces are offered at accessible prices, welcoming both seasoned collectors and first‑time buyers. Drawing on the ballet tradition of the pas de deux, an intimate conversation between two dancers, this season-opening gala widens that idea to the whole room, connecting orchestra and audience while blending tradition with celebration. The Symphony Orchestra partners with dancers from American Ballet Theatre for an evening of dance-infused music that flows from classical ballet selections to sweeping ballroom waltzes, sultry tangos, and more, all centered on a theme of passion for the season. The night also serves as LAMF’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting the artistry and community that define LAMF. Attendees can choose between two experiences, a concert with an auction or a dinner paired with the concert program.

At Crow Wing County Fairgrounds, the Crow Wing County Fair Baja features two classes of racing. One is for 4 cylinder cars measuring 99 inches or less, and the other is for 6 cylinder cars. The program moves from pit access and the close of registration to practice laps and a drivers meeting, then the races begin. All competition follows Baja rules.

This two-day clinic focuses on developing trust, leadership, and compassionate communication through groundwork, then putting those skills to use on an obstacle course. The first day emphasizes TLC, meaning trust-based leadership and compassionate communication, with groundwork exercises and spook-busting practice. The second day centers on an obstacle course handled in hand, with opportunities to ride or ground drive when suitable, and alternatives available if riding or ground driving is not an option. The clinician is Staci Fornshell, a Reach Out to Horses trainer and holistic horsemanship instructor. The fee is $495. A payment and registration link will be provided soon. Golfers and community supporters are invited to a charitable 18-hole best ball scramble at Cragun’s Legacy Courses, Lehman 18, presented by the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Foundation. This tournament is featured as part of the CRMC Championship presented by Northern Pacific, bringing added excitement to the course. Players will have the chance to interact with six PGA TOUR Americas professionals stationed on specialty holes, creating memorable moments and friendly competition across the round. YMCA 2026 Kid's Triathlon
The YMCA hosts the 19th annual kids triathlon at Whipple Beach in Baxter, welcoming boys and girls ages 5 to 14. A broad shoreline, a designated swim area, and quiet dead end roads create a comfortable setting for newcomers and a fun course for experienced young athletes. Registration opens soon and is available to both Y members and the broader community, with participation capped at 350. Early bird registration is $55, and standard registration is $65. Race packets are picked up at the event site. Participants start in separate waves for ages 5 to 9 and 10 to 14, with age determined on race day. Athletes in the 10 to 14 group can choose a 1 mile or 2 mile run option. Every finisher receives a medal, and the top three boys and top three girls in each age group will be recognized.
