In honor of the summer solstice, this cat-themed yoga fundraiser at Essential Yoga Studio blends movement, connection, and giving. A guided sequence of 21 sun salutations sets a light, playful tone, and participants spend time with the cats and kittens of Eden Animal Haven. The experience welcomes all levels and includes opportunities to learn about the sanctuary’s mission and explore adoption possibilities. The cause at the heart of the event is Eden Animal Haven, a cage-free nonprofit caring for cats and kittens, including those arriving sick or needing extra attention. Proceeds support the replacement of aging isolation cubes that are difficult to clean, with a fundraising goal of $5,000 to provide a safer, more sanitary welcome for new arrivals. Donations are tax deductible. It also serves as a food and litter drive. Requested items include any wet cat food, Purina ONE dry kitten food, Naturally Fresh Walnut Clumping Cat Litter, and OkoCat Original or Pellet Litter. Ways to take part include practicing alongside the cats, contributing supplies, donating from afar, helping spread the word, and meeting adoptable felines to find a match.
