Sunset Sup Yoga

Experience a floating yoga session that blends stand up paddleboarding with mindful movement at Contoocook River Canoe Company LLC in Concord, NH. Practicing on a paddleboard turns the board into your mat, adds a balance challenge that can boost focus, concentration, and core strength, and pairs the calm of the water with the meditative side of yoga. Class runs 75 minutes from the on-land introduction through savasana, including a 10 minute on-water and on-land lesson and 65 minutes of guided yoga. All levels are welcome. The Hot Rods, Muscle & More Car Show returns to the New England Racing Museum with a full day that welcomes every kind of vehicle. Wire Wrapping Jewelry Class W/ Real Sea Glass

At Hermanos Cocina Mexicana, this hands-on jewelry workshop focuses on wire wrapping with real sea glass. This introductory session on forest bathing combines a presentation with time outdoors at the Lodge at White Park. The first portion explores the origins of Shinrin-yoku and its science-supported health benefits, along with Brittany’s personal story and healing through Forest Therapy. Afterward, participants take a short forest bathing walk that includes a sensory awareness meditation and nature invitations intended to awaken the senses and offer a first taste of the practice. Get Fit NH Saturday Pop Up Workouts

Get Fit NH offers a pop-up workout led by Coach Alec that blends strength training, conditioning, sled drills, landmine movements, and focused core work for a fun, challenging change of pace. Everyone is welcome, whether you are new, returning, or already part of the community, and coaches will tailor movements so each participant gets the right level of difficulty. The drop-in fee is $15, and you can reserve a spot online or pay at the door.

Chair Taping Workshop

Discover the traditional Shaker approach to weaving chair seats with tidy, hidden ends. This hands-on workshop walks through preparing a chair frame, determining the amount of tape needed, planning a weaving pattern, and taping the seat step by step. Participants should bring a suitable chair frame with round seat rails, along with their own chair tape. As a guideline, a typical seat uses about 27 to 32 yards of 1 inch tape, or roughly 45 to 54 yards of 5/8 inch tape. Instruction is led by Dick Bennett, whose lifelong interest in woodworking brought him to Canterbury Shaker Village in 2004, where he has served as a museum interpreter, Shaker craft demonstrator, and workshop leader.

Rise & Shine SUP Yoga

Experience a stand up paddleboard yoga class on the water at Contoocook River Canoe Company LLC, where steady balance work and a floating studio deepen traditional poses. Practicing on a board heightens focus, strengthens the core, and builds stability, while the calm setting complements the meditative side of yoga and encourages a connection with nature. The session runs 75 minutes from the opening moments through savasana, including a 10 minute on-water and on-land introduction and a 65 minute guided yoga practice. Enrollment is limited to 10 students, and participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before class begins. Boards, paddles, anchors, and life vests are provided along with the introductory lesson and guided practice, and those bringing their own board, paddle, and anchor should register as BYOB. Bring a bathing suit, yoga pants or shorts, a tank or tee, and a long sleeve layer if needed, plus a towel, water bottle, sunscreen, and sunglasses, and avoid cotton fabrics. Chris Panatier presents Worry Box

Chris Panatier visits Gibson's Bookstore to celebrate the release of Worry Box, a tense and twisty horror novel. The story centers on the Martins, a family that finds what looks like the perfect house in Tumbling Hills. Alison and Nathan hope it will be a good home for their daughter Dru and foster child Lailah, who values the quiet of the attic when troubling thoughts surface. #3 Shaker Box Workshop

Set in a historic Shaker woodworking shop, this hands-on workshop teaches how to carve, bend, and assemble a #3 cherry oval box. All tools and materials are provided, and participants leave with a completed box to take home. Please bring something for taking notes along with comfortable work clothes and shoes. Instruction is led by Dick Bennett, whose involvement with Canterbury Shaker Village began in 2004 and includes service as a museum interpreter, Shaker craft demonstrator, and workshop leader.

Wings & Wheels at Concord Municipal Airport is a free, family-friendly event focused on STEM and aviation. A variety of food trucks will be on site. Service animals are permitted, and other pets should be left at home. Vehicle owners who wish to display inside the airport must register in advance. For safety, participating vehicles are expected to stay for the full duration with no late arrivals or early departures. General parking does not require registration, and parking is free.

Along the route he explains the design, construction, and everyday use that supported life at Shaker Village. The walk pairs on-site history with the colors of fall foliage.

Laurie Berkner LIVE! in Concord, NH 2/2

Laurie Berkner presents a festive solo concert filled with Halloween fun and favorite songs. Audience members are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a stuffed animal to balance on their heads while they dance the monster boogie. The set blends spooky-season tunes with well known hits, includes a few rarely performed selections, and features music from her album A Laurie Berkner Halloween. The performance lasts about 75 minutes. For each ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the New Hampshire Children’s Trust. Tickets are offered with reserved seating priced between $28 and $38, and children under 2 are admitted free. A VIP option at $78 includes a meet and greet and a photo opportunity with Laurie Berkner, with children under 2 also free.

Concord Dehumidifier and Air Conditioner Turn-In Event

Recycle inefficient equipment and earn a rebate by turning in working room air conditioners and dehumidifiers at a turn-in event hosted by NHSaves utility partners. To participate, complete the online rebate form beforehand to get a confirmation code, then bring that code along with your working units to the event staff. After verification, a $50 rebate per unit will be mailed within six to eight weeks. There is a limit of two room air conditioners and two dehumidifiers per residential account served by an NHSaves utility partner, and commercial accounts are not eligible. Filling out the form in advance helps speed processing, and accommodations are available for those unable to pre-apply online.
