Monthly Deep Meditation and Cacao Ceremony

This session uses the breath as the focal point, simply connecting inhale and exhale through the nostrils. The practice invites exploration of how unprocessed or repressed emotions may affect the physical body and everyday life within a safe and supportive container. Emotions such as joy, sadness, or anger may arise, and bringing gentle awareness to them can open space for peace and a renewed sense of wellbeing. Tiny Charcuterie Class

Fans of bite-sized treats can dive into a creative class with Tiny Things at Heirloom Brewery, where you will design a miniature charcuterie board. It is beginner friendly and intentionally collaborative, with everyone crafting tiny wheels of cheese, then slicing and sharing with neighbors. You choose the shape of your board and the items to feature, and after you finish, pieces can bake and cool in about 20 minutes, or you can take them home to complete the final bake. Tickets are available in two options. One includes a draft from the bar, and the other adds a small charcuterie box from local cheesemonger Charcuteray. That box is sized for two, so friends can coordinate who selects the add-on, or each person can get their own.

Drew Dunn @ The Loony Bin Comedy Club -- Tulsa

Drew Dunn, a stand up comedian who hails from New Hampshire and is based in New York City, performs at The Loony Bin Comedy Club in Tulsa. His credits include the Johnny Carson Great American Comedy Festival, wins at the Boston Comedy Festival and the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and selection as a New Face of Comedy at Just for Laughs in Montreal in 2019. He is a regular at the Comedy Cellar and tours throughout the United States and Canada. His comedy has been featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, with Vulture naming his appearance one of the week’s top five late night moments. His specials and stand up videos have also attracted millions of views online.

Queen Bess Centennial Aviation Arts Festival Presents: "The Flying Ace" Silent Film

Circle Cinema hosts a special screening as part of the Queen Bess Centennial Aviation Arts Festival, which is hosted by the Advanced Air Mobility Institute. The 1926 silent feature The Flying Ace will be presented with a live, improvised score by organist Bill Rowland on the venue’s 1928 theater pipe organ, offering an experience that recalls how audiences watched the film in its original era. Tickets are $10. This new annual festival honors the life and legacy of Bessie Coleman, an early aviation pioneer who attended Langston University in 1910. She was the first African American woman and the first Native American to earn a pilot’s license, and she became known as Queen Bess for her air show performances across the United States. She died in a plane crash while preparing for a show in 1926, and her example encouraged many in African American and Native American communities to pursue aviation. About the film: running time 1 hour 5 minutes, silent action adventure, not rated. Originally released in 1926, The Flying Ace features an all African American cast and takes inspiration from Bessie Coleman’s flying, with the character Ruth Sawtelle loosely based on her. Coleman had been in discussions to appear in the film before her passing shortly before production began. The film was recognized for preservation by the Library of Congress in 2021. The story follows a World War I fighter pilot who returns to work as a railroad detective and sets out to recover a stolen payroll, find a missing employee, and bring a gang of thieves to justice.

Gillian Welch & David Rawlings

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings perform live in a free concert at Guthrie Green as part of Guthrie Green’s Off the Cuff Concert Series. There are no tickets for this show. For over twenty-five years, the duo has helped shape contemporary acoustic music, earning praise from outlets including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and the New York Times for their mastery of American folk and the striking emotional blend of their voices. Their tenth studio album, Woodland, won the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Folk Album. Named for and recorded at their own Woodland Sound Studios in Nashville, the record moves between full band performances and intimate duets, and was crafted while they restored the studio following the 2020 tornado. Welch’s song “Orphan Girl” drew wide attention through Emmylou Harris, and her 1996 debut, Revival, produced by T Bone Burnett, received broad acclaim. The follow-up, Hell Among the Yearlings, further established the pair’s stark duet style. In 2000, Welch received the Album of the Year GRAMMY for her role on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, and that same period brought a nomination for Time (The Revelator), a release frequently cited among the era’s landmark albums. From that point on, their recordings have been self-produced and released on their own label, Acony Records. Soul Journey in 2003 explored a richer, electric palette and led into the Dave Rawlings Machine project, starting with A Friend of a Friend in 2009 amid extensive touring and major festival appearances. The Harrow and the Harvest returned to the duo’s core sound, earning GRAMMY nominations and honors at the Americana Honors & Awards. Nashville Obsolete in 2015 expanded Rawlings’s production scope with strings and guest musicians, and his production credits include work with Willie Watson, Dawes, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Robyn Hitchcock. “Cumberland Gap,” from Poor David’s Almanack, was nominated for Best American Roots Song and featured in Guy Ritchie’s film The Gentlemen. In 2016, they launched Boots, an archival arm of Acony, to share rare and live recordings. Welch became the first musician to receive the Thomas Wolfe Prize for Literature in 2018. The pair earned an Academy Award nomination in 2019 for “When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings,” which they performed at the ceremony for the Coen brothers’ The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. All the Good Times arrived in 2020 as their first album under both names and won the GRAMMY for Best Folk Album, alongside recognition from Berklee and the Americana Music Association for their career achievements in songwriting. They continue to tour, collaborate, and issue high-fidelity vinyl editions of their work. The Woodland vinyl is mastered by Rawlings directly from the original analog tapes on his custom lathe, and Acony Records partners with Paramount Pressing & Plating in Denver, a joint venture between Rawlings and Gary Salstrom, to produce their records.

April Appendix N. Book Club - "The Face in The Frost" by John Bellairs

This session spotlights John Bellairs's The Face in the Frost, first released in 1969. The story follows Prospero, a tall and awkward wizard in the South Kingdom, a realm of quarrelsome duchies and small manors loosely tied to a single crown. Joined by his necromancer friend Roger Bacon, who is searching for a mysterious book, Prospero flees his home as shadowy forces draw near, weaving eerie horror with fairy tale inspired fantasy. Guided by the spirit of Appendix N, the list Gary Gygax referenced while shaping Dungeons and Dragons, this book club explores titles that fuel planning, writing, running, and playing TTRPGs. The readings are approached critically, acknowledging that many older works include elements that are never acceptable. Conversation focuses on cultural context, the ways these stories influenced the tabletop role playing hobby, and takeaways that can inform better play. The goal is to recognize past mistakes, learn from them, and keep the dialogue centered on both inspiration and understanding.

Pet Industry Night

A special Pet Industry Night brings together local veterinary teams, industry professionals, and Fetch members for an evening focused on networking, education, and appreciation. In honor of World Veterinarian Day, the event highlights local clinics and the dedicated staff who care for pets. Attendees can explore member resources and get expert guidance on local pet care tips and recommendations. A vendor market features local favorites such as Willow’s Homemade Treats, with additional vendors to be announced. Networking opportunities make it easy for those working in the pet space to connect and for owners to meet the people behind Tulsa’s pet community. Sara Anais Illustration will create caricatures. The gathering takes place at Fetch Social Club. For pups who plan to play, vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella must be current. The schedule is still being finalized, and more partners will be added soon.

Bingo & Silent Auction

Enjoy an evening of bingo and a silent auction benefiting Tulsa Period Pantry. Hosted at the OU Schusterman Learning Center in a larger space with plenty of room, the gathering features snacks, games, and chances to win prizes. A $20 ticket includes snacks and one bingo card, and additional cards are available for $5. PERFECT STORM WORKSHOP

A complimentary, family-focused workshop for parents, The Perfect Storm Workshop with Dr. Kamryn explores the roots of common childhood challenges such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, and sensory processing differences. Hangar Pinball's Spring Has Sprung League

Spring Has Sprung League offers a six-week season with the two lowest weekly results dropped from the standings. Play follows a group matchplay format that keeps each group together for five games, creating a steady rhythm of head-to-head competition. Points are awarded as 7, 5, 3, 1 in four-player groups and 7, 4, 1 in three-player groups. The top 12 competitors move on to finals. Canon is the head tournament director, with Alan and Eric as backups. Fees include a $6 league charge, $1 for IFPA, and $5 contributed to the end-of-year party. A bye is planned during the season for Silverball in OKC.

Restorative Yoga for Sacred Recovery - Open to the publilc!

Restorative Yoga for Sacred Recovery invites a shift from achieving to resting, from improving to belonging, and from effort to grace. This gentle, contemplative practice centers deep rest so the nervous system can soften, breathing can slow, and the body can remember safety. Sessions blend fully supported poses, simple breath awareness, faith-rooted reflections on embodied grace, and unhurried stillness. The focus is not flexibility, fitness, or pushing. No prior experience is needed and there is no expectation to perform. Participants are supported on the ground with comfort as the priority. A bolster, two blocks, a 10-foot strap, and a limited number of blankets are available for anyone without their own props, and personal props are welcome. Bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on, such as blankets or towels. A small number of restorative prop bundles are occasionally offered for those who wish to continue at home. This is a capped monthly membership to preserve the intimacy and safety of the space, and registration is required. Membership is $40 per month and reserves a place in the ongoing Thursday series. The number of gatherings within a billing cycle may vary with the calendar and church availability, and meetings are held whenever the space is available. A PEOPLE'S MUSEUM by AK/OK

A People’s Museum of LGBTQ2S+ History arrives at Positive Space as an evolving archive built from hand-rendered portraits and first-person stories contributed by participants from the United States and abroad. Spanning generations and identities, the project honors everyday LGBTQ2S+ people whose lives are often left out of the historical record. Visitors can add their memories during the exhibition, and a free, all-ages drawing workshop with supplies provided offers another way to contribute new portraits and stories. The growing collection will be compiled into an artist’s book that celebrates this shared history. Created by the art and design collective AK/OK, whose research-driven practice engages queer and feminist histories, archives, and contemporary culture, the project follows presentations at institutions including the Bishopsgate Institute in London, the Brooklyn Museum, Central Saint Martins, Brown University, and RISD. Their work has been shown at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, SOMA in Mexico City, San Francisco State University, and Fernwey Gallery in Chicago, with residencies at the Santa Fe Art Institute, the Vermont Studio Center, ACRE, and the Institute of Contemporary Art at the Maine College of Art. Their artist’s books are distributed by Printed Matter, and their work is held in the collections of Aeromoto Library, the Allen Ginsberg Estate, Butler Library at Columbia University, the GLBT Historical Society, and the National Design Archives.

Wings on Earth Gala

Rock & Rescue 2026: Animal Adoption Event

Central Park Hall hosts an animal adoption event featuring rescue organizations and pet-focused vendors from around Oklahoma. Families can meet hundreds of adoptable dogs along with a few cats, speak with veterinarians, boarding and grooming businesses, and trainers, and pick up helpful guidance for starting life with a new companion. The first Tulsa Drillers Cornhole Tournament brings head-to-head play to ONEOK Field, set up outdoors and paired with Drillers baseball on Star Wars Night. Players can look forward to a day centered on cornhole, with food options available and the excitement of a game at the ballpark. Entry is $40 per person or $80 per team. Build your tango from the ground up in a progressive five-week beginner series at Temple of Dance. Guided by Irina and Sergio, who bring more than two decades of experience, you will explore the essence of Argentine tango with a focus on presence, attentive listening, and a shared dialogue in movement. Sessions develop core skills such as posture, balance, dissociation, lead and follow, parallel and cross systems, walking, the cross, and forward and backward ochos. No partner is required and no prior experience is needed. Comfortable shoes that pivot easily and do not grip the floor are recommended. Pricing is $85 for an individual and $150 for a pair. Irina and Sergio met dancing in Mexico City and have been partners since 2008, blending backgrounds in stage performance and social improvisation, studying with renowned Argentine maestros, performing with a local orchestra and at a traditional venue, and teaching for many years while fostering a vibrant social tango community. Expressive Flow- Gentle Movement & Intuitive Creativity

Explore gentle movement and intuitive creativity in a women-centered workshop at Temple of Dance. Through a simple, body-based practice that weaves breath with soft, mindful movement, participants are guided to reconnect with the body as a source of pleasure, imagination, and authentic expression. The gathering begins in circle with the option to sip Blue Lotus flower tea, then moves into about half an hour of music-led movement with guidance from Mia Leighty. Afterward, spend roughly forty-five minutes creating intuitive mixed-media art with instruction from Katy Casillas-Gray, then close the session together as a group. This experience is for women who feel distant from their bodies or creative spark, who want to welcome more pleasure into daily life, who wish to move beyond tension or numbness around self-expression, and who enjoy moving to music and making art in a supportive setting with other women. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch and move with ease. Much of the workshop takes place on the floor, so please bring a yoga mat for cushioning. All art supplies are provided. Because activities involve floor work and shifting positions on a mat, participants should be comfortable sitting on the floor, otherwise this class may not be the best fit. No previous experience with yoga, dance, or art is needed. The space remains quiet during movement and art to support personal focus. The movement portion begins with participants facing away from others, and keeping eyes closed is an option for added privacy. Larry Aduddell 5-Mile Riverside Run

Now in its 56th year, this 5-mile point-to-point run follows the River Parks Authority trail and is hosted by Tulsa Running Club, the oldest running race tradition in Tulsa. The course begins on the Jenks Pedestrian Bridge, heads north along the trail, and wraps up near 56th Street. A water station is positioned around the halfway mark, and finishers can refuel with Gatorade, water, and fruit. The first male and first female across the line will each earn a $100 award. Online registration before race day is $25, and race-day registration is $35. Tulsa Running Club members receive a half-price registration code by email. Race-day registration and packet pickup will be available on the west side of the Pedestrian Bridge. Transportation will not be provided before or after the race, so participants should plan how to return to the start after finishing. Restrooms are located east of the bridge, about half a mile from the starting area.

Import Face-Off, the national car show series, brings a full slate of automotive competition and entertainment to Tulsa Raceway Park.
