Celebrate Dad with a hands-on Father’s Day experience at All Things Cake, where kids and families decorate sweet treats using buttercream, sprinkles, piping bags, tools, and plenty of fun toppings in the DIY Decorating Studio. Each reservation chooses either a set of 12 cupcakes or a 12 inch cookie cake. The studio will feature Father’s Day themed accents such as sports, tools, fishing, grilling, mustaches, and ties to help create something special for a father figure. Guests can also make a handmade card and enjoy photo opportunities. All supplies, tools, and materials are provided, and the format welcomes all skill levels with lots of creative freedom. The cost is $45 per project, and up to three participants may share one project. All ages are welcome. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult, while older children may be dropped off and picked up at the end. Photos are encouraged. Rooted in the Appendix N tradition from AD&D, which gathered the books that influenced Gary Gygax while writing Dungeons and Dragons, this book club focuses on the stories that shape how people plan, write, run, and play TTRPGs. The selection is "Swords and Deviltry" by Fritz Leiber, a 160-page collection published in 1970 that brings together four sword and sorcery tales. These stories trace the separate beginnings of Fafrhd and The Grey Mouser and recount their first meeting in the city of Lankhmar. The series helped define the sword and sorcery sub-genre, and the pair’s roguish, less-than-heroic approach to adventure influenced a foundational player character archetype in D&D. Because the readings are older, discussion is approached critically, recognizing elements that were once commonplace but are not acceptable, and focusing on cultural relevance, the books’ impact on the Table-Top RPG hobby, and practical lessons for role-playing. Conversation acknowledges problematic aspects without dwelling on them, with the aim of learning from past mistakes.

Icarus forms an unexpected bond with Apollo, the sun god, and together they imagine a daring escape into the sky. The stories of Phaethon and Helle echo as warnings that flying too high or too low can be fatal. As events build toward a familiar precipice, Icarus must confront his doubts and choose whether to follow the well-worn path of legend or break the cycle. A single-night screening at Circle Cinema honors the memory of Eriyon Tecson with the Oklahoma-made film Unkind, in which she had a featured role. Eriyon was early in her acting career when she was killed while helping someone in need in December. Members of her family will be in attendance along with filmmaker Jeff LeForce and other cast members. Information will be available at the screening about a scholarship created in Eriyon’s name with A Pocket Full of Hope to support aspiring local actors, as well as ways to contribute to the organization and the new fund. Tickets are $10. Unkind portrays the everyday cruelty students show one another and follows Noah as his difficult day worsens when a shooting happens on campus, pointing to the need for more compassion. A Pocket Full of Hope is a Tulsa-based 501(c)(3) that provides young people with a sense of belonging, creative outlets, and a safe place to grow, working with community partners to support youth as they move into adulthood. Over 17 years the organization has reached more than 5,200 youth from Tulsa and nearby areas, empowering them to shift toward positive peer culture through music, theatre, and dance.

Caribbean culture takes center stage at KĂĽSh Lounge in Tulsa with a lively block party honoring Caribbean-American Heritage Month, presented by Oklahoma Caribbean Vibes and Caribbean Fusion Fritay. Expect a full day of island flavors and rhythms, featuring live DJs, steel drum performances, and cultural showcases alongside games and dominoes, a vendor marketplace, island drinks, tropical desserts, and relaxed lounge spaces. Music spans reggae, dancehall, soca, kompa, afrobeat, and timeless Caribbean classics. Authentic bites highlight Jamaican dishes, Haitian specialties, and Trinidadian favorites. Families are welcome, and people of every background are invited to celebrate. Show pride in your roots by wearing your island colors and bringing your flag. Early arrival is recommended, and vendor opportunities are available.

Dale Watson and His Lonestars bring a night steeped in American roots traditions, led by the signature style he created called Ameripolitan, a blend of honky-tonk, outlaw country, western swing, and rockabilly. A Texas-raised singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and actor, he has spent decades upholding classic sounds while forging his own path beyond the mainstream. With over thirty albums behind him and a following that stretches from East Texas to Europe, Watson has appeared on Austin City Limits, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Show with David Letterman, and has shared stages with Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. His latest album, Unwanted, was made in Austin and Memphis and was written and produced by Watson himself, channeling heartache, hard lessons, and the rush of life on the road. The record ranges from the galloping Willie Waylon and Whiskey to the tender If You Really Loved Me (Outlive Me) and the reflective Life is Like a Song. Expect a commanding voice built for lively dancehalls, twang-rich guitars, and a bandleader who keeps the timeless country spirit moving forward.

This social trail run at Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area offers a chance to explore both new and familiar paths while meeting fellow runners. Plan for about an hour or less on the trails, with groups organized by pace and ability so everyone can find a good fit. Options range from roughly 5 to 6 miles at about 10 minutes per mile on trails, which is similar to about 8 minutes per mile on roads, to approximately 3 to 4 miles at 13 minutes per mile or slower with a run and hike approach. The meeting point is the lower parking lot. After the run, DoubleShot Coffee cold brew will be served. Bringing a reusable cup or mug is encouraged, and a small number of disposable cups will be available.

Experience Writing offers a two day, hands-on workshop centered on cultivating patience as a core skill for completing a manuscript and moving toward publication. Participants develop spiritual, creative, and community support while replenishing their creative well, building connections with fellow writers, and establishing consistent habits that sustain the writing life. The aim is to help writers build endurance for the publishing journey and beyond. Preregistration is required.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member and his band will perform fan favorites, hits he’s written for artists including Don Henley and Tim McGraw, and songs from The Speaker Wars’ debut album, available wherever you stream music. This show marks a special homecoming for Lynch, who was at The Church Studio when Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers signed to Shelter Records and changed the trajectory of their careers. The group was formed in collaboration with Texas singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis. His songs have been covered by Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles, Billy Ray Cyrus, Sherrie Austin, Tammy Cochran and various other artists. The Church Studio is redefining live music events – bringing a thrilling experience to a finite group of 100 guests in the acoustically prestine Live Room (original sanctuary) of The Church Studio. The Church Studio presents an intimate IN SESSION live recording with Kalyn Fay in the studio’s Live Room. Attendance is limited to 50 people per show, creating a close-up experience of the recording and tracking process. Each guest receives personal headphones with a tailored mix of vocals and multi-track instrumentation, highlighting the character of analog production. Two sessions are scheduled. Kalyn Fay, of Cherokee Nation and Muscogee descent, is a songwriter and musician from Oklahoma whose work also spans visual art, curation, and education. Raised in rural Oklahoma among Cherokee, Muscogee, and Osage territories, their music is grounded in place and relationship. Themes of self-location, community, collaboration, and empathy guide the songwriting, drawing on Indigenous perspectives about community and environment to foster shared understanding. Releases include the full-length albums Bible Belt and Good Company, with the most recent, ᎠᏫᏒᏅ (Garden), on Horton Records. Performances include appearances at SXSW, Kerrville Folk Festival, Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Folk Alliance International, Live in America, FreshGrass Festival, FORMAT Festival, and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The band features Jake Lynn, Stephen Lee, Josh Nanna, and Olivia McGraw. A cash bar will be available. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may not be accommodated in the Live Room. The Drillers face Arkansas at ONEOK Field, where the Row of Honor will be recognized during the game to honor those who have served. Open to service members, veterans, first responders and their guests, as well as families, friends and supporters, this Rally Point takes place during select Tulsa Drillers baseball games and requires registration. Tickets are released monthly in limited quantities with a limit of four per request. At least one attendee must be a veteran and proof of service is required, such as a VA ID or a driver’s license with a veteran designation. Seats are reserved in Section 115, Row W, seats 1 through 20, courtesy of Superior Building Resources. Tickets are picked up at Will Call on the day of the game. Please specify Eagle OPS when retrieving them and only collect the number originally requested, since remaining tickets are reserved for other veterans.
