Discover the basics of curling at Toyota Sportsplex with a two-hour, hands-on introduction for beginners. The session covers how to slide the stone, essential sweeping techniques, and foundational strategy, then wraps up with a brief game so participants can put new skills to use. It is scheduled ahead of the summer league and is tailored for newcomers. Dress in warm layers and wear clean sneakers, no skates needed, and the necessary equipment is provided. Space is limited.

Syntixi

At the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, the duo SYNTIXI brings a vibrant blend of traditional Greek music and jazz, threaded with cinematic, classical, and global influences. The ensemble pairs award-winning Wyoming Valley native Tom Alexander at the keyboard with Grammy-nominated Greek laouto player Vasilis Kostas for a seldom-seen appearance together in the United States, presenting their own original pieces.

Every Brilliant Thing

King's College Theatre Department continues its 2025 to 2026 Mainstage Season with Every Brilliant Thing, a one-person play by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe. Directed by Assistant Technical Director Allen Bonk, this intimate production traces a child's growing list of life's bright spots created to support a loved one, offering a thoughtful exploration of hope, humor, and human connection. Part of King's Theatre's Brown Bag Series, performances are presented in the George P. Maffei II Theatre inside the Mulligan Physical Science Center. Tickets range from $8 to $20 and are free for current King's College students with ID. Tickets will also be available at the theatre box office on the day of the show.
