Town TheatreFree Sundays at the Museum of the Reconstruction Era
Residents of Richland and Lexington counties and those with HC memberships can tour the Museum of the Reconstruction Era at the Woodrow Wilson Family Home at no cost, made possible by Richland County. As the nation’s only museum devoted to the Reconstruction era, set within South Carolina’s sole surviving presidential site, it offers a multifaceted look at Columbia’s late nineteenth-century history and addresses widespread misconceptions about this pivotal period. Guests are welcome to explore the house at their own pace on a self-guided visit, with knowledgeable guides available to answer questions. Capacity is limited and visitors are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who do not qualify for complimentary entry, on-site admission is $12 for adults and $8 for youth.
