The First Friday Concert Series comes to a close with a free evening of live music featuring The Lost Creek Band. Expect an opener followed by the headlining set, with food trucks and evening vendors from the farmers market creating a festive atmosphere. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs. Shoppers who support downtown businesses in the week leading up to the concert can bring a receipt to the Chamber tent for a chance to enter a giveaway. This community celebration is made possible with support from event sponsors. Formed in the 1970s by two cousins, The Lost Creek Band has performed for audiences around the world. The lineup includes Ed Stiner on guitar and vocals, Rick Fielden on mandolin and fiddle, Phil Clear on percussion and vocals, Rick Flynn on banjo and dobro, and Tim Carpenter on bass and vocals. Carpenter, who is from Morristown, notes the band always finds a strong crowd there. Since he joined, the group has released seven albums, with four earning Album of the Year honors from the North America Country Music Association, and they have even taken their show to sea on two cruises. Their resume includes sharing the stage with artists such as Paul Williams, Doyle Lawson, Jim and Jesse McReynolds, the Osborne Brothers, Quicksilver, and Kentucky Thunder. The setlist spans a wide range of styles, including selections not often heard on an Americana bill.
