Pinball Tournament June 2026

NTX Pinball hosts an International Flipper Pinball Association sanctioned competition at Pinball In The Mall inside The Vista Mall, with most play on NTX Pinball owned machines. Players of every experience level are invited to compete for WPPR points, and the champion takes home a trophy. There is no entry fee, games are pay-to-play using arcade tokens. Tokens cost $1 each or 27 for $20, and each game uses one token. Qualifying uses Target Group Match Play in four player groups when possible, with one game per round and scoring of 7, 5, 3, and 1. Rounds continue until someone reaches 36 points, then standings are set based on results from that round. Ties are only broken when necessary to determine who advances. Expect roughly 20 to 30 minutes per round and about 6 to 7 rounds, which typically runs 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on turnout and game times. Up to 16 players move on to finals, or fewer if the field is under 32. Finals use a two strike Lenient Group Strikes format, with elimination after two strikes. In four player groups the bottom two receive a strike, in three player groups only third place receives a strike, and in head to head the runner up receives a strike. Finals commonly add another 2.5 to 3 hours. The tournament is estimated at 12 to 14 meaningful games in qualifying plus about 14 more in finals, yielding roughly 104% to 112% TGP. The arcade may offer snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for purchase, and participants may BYOB and bring food or snacks, with sharing encouraged. Late arrivals are accommodated. For convenient access, use Door 5 near Zion Market or Door 3 near the Cinemark entrance.

DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series Race 4

Race 4 of the DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series features chip timed 5K and 10K trail racing at the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter. The course follows laps on Loop 5 with a short stretch of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround, where a water cache will be available. Trails are clearly marked and the finish area is lively, creating a beginner friendly, community centered experience within an eight week series. Each distance uses a mass start and both distances share the trail, with the 10K beginning ahead of the 5K to create spacing, so awareness of other runners is important. Actual mileage may vary slightly based on trail conditions. Participants receive a series bib at their first race and should bring it back for subsequent races. Weekly awards recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, with podium recognition for juniors 13 and under, under 40 men and women, and masters 41 plus men and women in both the 5K and 10K. Series standings conclude with awards for the top three in each of these divisions. Rain dates are built into each round to handle weather related changes. Registration options include $16 for a full series entry for juniors 13 and under, $20 for pre registration, and $30 for late registration. Adults 14 and up are $24 for the full series, $30 for pre registration, and $40 for late registration.

DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series Race 5

Race 5 of the Burning Soles Trail Series brings 5K and 10K trail running to one of the DFW area’s standout off road networks. This installment is set on the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter course, using laps on Loop 5 with a short stretch of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache will be available. The series welcomes newcomers and emphasizes community, with clearly marked routes, an energetic finish line, and some of North Texas’s favorite singletrack. All participants are chip timed. At a runner’s first appearance in the series, a bib number is issued for the season and should be brought back for each subsequent race. Both distances share the trail at the same time, so awareness of fellow racers is encouraged. Distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions. Weekly podiums recognize the top three men and top three women in each distance, with age group acknowledgments for juniors 13 and under, under 40 men and women, and masters 41 plus men and women in both the 5K and 10K. Series trophies will be awarded at the end of the eight week run to the top three in each division. Registration is tiered: juniors 13 and under are priced at $16 for the full series, $20 for preregistration, or $30 for late entry, while adults 14 and up are $24 for the full series, $30 for preregistration, or $40 for late entry.
