Project Constellation Music Program

This program features Scandinavian music performed by a duo from Grand Forks, North Dakota that blends acoustic folk, rock, punk, pop, and more. Their repertoire draws on traditional Irish folk alongside modern punk. The event takes place at Lewisville Fire Hall. The duo will also perform at the Madelia Branch Library. Support comes from the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Grapevine North Shore Trail - MADD Shelter

Race 4 of the DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series features chip timed 5K and 10K trail racing at the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter. The course follows laps on Loop 5 with a short stretch of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround, where a water cache will be available. Trails are clearly marked and the finish area is lively, creating a beginner friendly, community centered experience within an eight week series. Each distance uses a mass start and both distances share the trail, with the 10K beginning ahead of the 5K to create spacing, so awareness of other runners is important. Actual mileage may vary slightly based on trail conditions. Participants receive a series bib at their first race and should bring it back for subsequent races. Weekly awards recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, with podium recognition for juniors 13 and under, under 40 men and women, and masters 41 plus men and women in both the 5K and 10K. Series standings conclude with awards for the top three in each of these divisions. Rain dates are built into each round to handle weather related changes. Registration options include $16 for a full series entry for juniors 13 and under, $20 for pre registration, and $30 for late registration. Adults 14 and up are $24 for the full series, $30 for pre registration, and $40 for late registration.

The Matrix in Shared Reality

At Cosm Dallas, step inside a Shared Reality experience centered on The Matrix that invites you to question what is real. Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures, this fully immersive event opens the door to the world of the film.

Sunrise Paddle

Greet the day with a peaceful paddle as dawn colors the sky, gliding over calm water while the world wakes up. The quiet of the morning, the glow on the horizon, and the steady rhythm of each stroke create a serene and uplifting start. Led by Bluet SUP staff, this guided experience begins with a safety briefing and instructor support throughout. Entrance and parking at Pilot Knoll Park are included. Complimentary cold water and Pacifico beverages are provided, along with Pacifico-sponsored sunglasses and select merchandise. Photos are captured during the outing so participants leave with lasting memories. After check-in and time to prepare equipment, the group heads to a designated spot to watch the sunrise. New paddlers are encouraged to sit on their board or kayak at first, with time to practice once anchored in calm water. The morning concludes with a relaxed moment to enjoy a cold drink and connect with fellow participants. Meals and snacks are not provided, and guests may bring their own to share afterward. Gratuities are not included. Instructors reduce their pay so guests with their own equipment can participate at 15 dollars, and tips directly support their time, energy, and care. Start time is aligned with sunrise and is confirmed by text before each session.

Kidventure: Game Masters: The Final Showdown

The final week brings every game together for a camp wide tournament of champions, giving campers a chance to showcase teamwork, creativity, and the skills they have built. Highlights include Camp Olympics, a Talent Showcase, and award ceremonies that celebrate accomplishments throughout the week. This culminating experience is designed for ages 3 to 14 and blends friendly competition with plenty of encouragement and fun.

Monday Movie Night: Jurassic Park

Settle in on the lawn at Grandscape for an action filled movie night featuring Jurassic Park, presented by Crest Cars. Expect towering dinosaurs on the big screen and plenty of thrills for an easygoing summer evening outdoors. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks and water. Free parking is available in the Crest Auto Parking Garage. Grandscape is a large outdoor shopping center with many food and dining options to enjoy before or after the movie.

Sup Yoga

Experience the glow of sunset on the water with a stand up paddleboard Yin Yoga session that begins with a calm paddle to a quiet lagoon. Certified E-RYT 500 instructor Lucinda leads a 60 minute practice of gentle, passive poses held for 3 to 5 minutes to reach connective tissues and support flexibility and mobility. The practice closes with a brief Yoga Nidra guided meditation for restoration and ease. Afterward, enjoy a 30 minute paddle, take photos, and spend time at Bluet SUP. Participation is supported through donations and gratuities for the instructor.

NTX Sports Card Show in the Dallas / Ft Worth Area - August 2026

The NTX Sports Card Show returns to NTX Arena in the Dallas Fort Worth area for another big weekend centered on sports cards, community, and active deal making. With nearly 300 vendor tables filling the venue, it ranks among the largest all-sports card gatherings in the region, welcoming collectors at every level. Browse a broad mix across baseball, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, wrestling, and more, whether you are after high grade centerpieces, digging through value boxes, seeking sealed boxes, or ready to negotiate your next major trade with leading vendors from across Texas. The setup is built for hobbyists, with bright lighting and improved connectivity that make it easier to check comps, finalize deals, and stay on the floor longer. All ages are welcome, creating a serious hobby atmosphere that remains friendly and accessible. New for this edition, a dedicated TCG Corner adds space for trading card game collectors while keeping the full slate of sports card tables intact. For the first time, CGC will be on site in an official capacity to accept direct submissions of cards, comics, video games, and home video for grading, with items taken straight back to their headquarters.

The event also includes a visit from Bubbles the mascot, face painting, photo opportunities, and additional activities suited for all ages. It is designed for curious young fans of trucks, cars, and big wheels.
