There is no charge to attend, and optional donations are appreciated. Hosted and sponsored by KCSA Radio, with appreciation to the San Angelo Performing Arts Center.

    Back to School Bash

    Kick off the school season with a family friendly bash that helps students get ready. Complimentary backpacks filled with school supplies will be available while supplies last, limited to one per child on a first come, first served basis. A no-cost lunch will be served with hot dogs, chips, and sodas. Guests can also tour Clayton manufactured homes and learn about the San Angelo difference through customer service and Clayton home knowledge.

    The 13th Annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway takes place at Sunset Mall with support from La Esperanza Clinic. Families can receive a free backpack provided by La Esperanza Clinic, and each one is packed with school supplies contributed by local businesses and organizations to help students begin the year ready to learn. There will be family-friendly activities throughout, and distribution will continue while supplies last. Businesses and organizations are welcome to participate at no cost.

    Literature Alive - Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type

    Continuing the Literature Alive Project, Ballet San Angelo presents a free performance of the children’s book Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type in Studio 1 inside the San Angelo Performing Arts Center. This program brings the story to life for Concho Valley children through dance, storytelling, and literacy. On the farm, the animals discover a typewriter and begin sending formal letters to their frustrated farmer, setting off a humorous exchange of demands and replies. After the show, each child leaves with a new book and creative inspiration. Admission is free.
