Jala Neti

Explore the traditional yogic cleansing practice of Jala Neti at Fairfield Inn. Guided by a Hatha Yoga Teacher trained by Sadhguru, this session focuses on gently rinsing the nasal passages with saline water using a copper pot designed by Sadhguru to clear buildup and support easier breathing. The Concert Truck: Bellevue Downtown Park

The Concert Truck returns to Seattle for summer 2026 with a traveling stage that brings live chamber music to everyday places. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. SCMS musicians team up with founder Susan Zhang for engaging, hour-long performances that turn parks and community spaces into lively concert settings, enjoyable for families, first-time listeners, and devoted fans of classical music. This visit highlights the Song Without Words program, moving from the lyric beauty of Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann to the flair of Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, and Kreisler. The music includes the opening movement of Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 alongside selections from his Songs Without Words, the Andante from Clara Schumann’s G minor Piano Trio, favorites from Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite like Morning Mood, Anitra’s Dance, and In the Hall of the Mountain King, Kreisler’s Tambourin chinois arranged for cello, and the Andante from Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata. Gershwin adds a jazzy spark with Summertime and Tempo di Blues from Porgy and Bess in the Heifetz transcription, capped by Rhapsody in Blue arranged for piano four hands. Performers are Alena Hove on violin, Nathan Chan on cello, and pianists Maxim Lando and Susan Zhang.

Explore Moksha Patam, an ancient Indian precursor to Snakes and Ladders, in a hands-on art experience that weaves in storytelling and imagery inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Participants will design and paint a functional scroll-board, personalize the snakes and ladders to reflect their own ideas, and take home a distinctive keepsake.

Graphic Novel Gurus: Words + Pictures = Stories

Campers dive into graphic novels such as Amulet and El Deafo for inspiration, then plan and illustrate original stories of their own. With help throughout the process, each participant creates a short graphic novel to show to friends.

Two celebrated Sounders, Brad Evans and James Riley, take part in a speaker session and meet and greet focused on what it takes to make it as a professional soccer player. They will share their path to the Sounders’ field, talk about the books they enjoy, and discuss why the World Cup coming to the region is so exciting. The program also features prizes awarded by drawing, along with dedicated time for photos and autographs. Registration is free.

An evening of film, comedy, and expert insight centers on perimenopause and menopause at Kirkland Performance Center. This weeklong technology camp welcomes coed students entering grades 5 to 8 and centers on creativity, problem solving, and discovery in a supportive, collaborative setting. Participants work in small groups and rotate through four distinct tracks so everyone gets hands-on time with each area. The lineup features VEX and Finch robotics, drones, coding, virtual reality development, esports, and makerspace challenges that include 3D modeling and build projects. It is suited for learners who are enthusiastic about technology as well as those who simply enjoy making and exploring, with opportunities to develop new skills and connect with peers.

Summer Camp for Preschool/PreK, Full Day

Eastside Christian School offers week-long, full-day summer camps for preschool and PreK children ages 3 to 5. Each session features interactive projects, creative activities, and outdoor adventures in a setting grounded in Christian values. Caring instructors lead fresh themes each week, helping campers build friendships while growing in confidence and a love of learning. Families may register for one or multiple weeks. World Cup in the Forest

World Cup in the Forest is a full-day summer camp from Suncatcher Forest School for ages 5 to 10, offered Monday through Friday. The program blends the excitement of soccer with the wonder of learning in nature, inviting campers to move, explore, create, and connect through soccer-inspired games, nature play, and global discovery. Each day, children represent different countries and discover world cultures through art, music, storytelling, and hands-on projects. Soccer is used to build teamwork and confidence through inclusive, age-appropriate games and forest obstacle challenges suited to all skill levels. Campers take part in movement challenges and cooperative activities centered on kindness, craft flags and jerseys, create chants and fan art, and build eco-stadiums and goals from natural materials. Time is also set aside for storytelling, reflection, creative expression, free play, rest, and outdoor exploration. The week concludes with a Forest World Cup Celebration where campers share their creations and enjoy friendly games together. Emphasis is placed on movement, friendship, cultural awareness, and a deep connection to the outdoors. Winning is not the goal, belonging, joy, and teamwork are. Families may send lunch from home or preorder lunch for the week. While campers attend, younger siblings may enroll in the Suncatcher Forest School group for the duration of camp. Pricing is $550 for the full week or $150 per drop-off day, with a 15 percent sibling discount and a 10 percent discount for families enrolled in the Forest School. Woodinville marks the global game with a free community watch party at Wilmot Gateway Park. The park transforms into a soccer hub with a giant screen showing international matchups, including Panama vs England, Colombia vs Portugal, and Jordan vs Argentina. “Pond” Theme Tote Endless Coloring

A relaxed crafternoon focuses on decorating a reusable cotton tote inspired by pond life. Participants color a durable bag made from heavy 100 percent cotton canvas, built to hold books, shopping, and other essentials. Each tote includes ten classic wash out pens stowed in an inner pocket, ready for adding color to an educational scene featuring creatures and plants such as frogs, hedgehogs, kingfishers, and water lilies. When a fresh palette is desired, a spin through the washing machine removes the ink completely, allowing the design to be colored again for repeat fun. No prior experience or preparation is needed, and all ages are welcome. This in person crafternoon takes place at Landscape Inspired Gallery in Redmond, WA. Price is $25.

Queer Creative Connections

Pride Across the Bridge hosts a monthly, low pressure 2SLGBTQIA+ art meetup where participants can work on personal creations, collaborate on shared projects, trade materials, or simply relax together. The gathering is held in partnership with Bellevue Library, typically in Room 1 off the foyer. If the room is hard to find, look for the reservation notices posted outside the library meeting rooms, or ask a librarian for directions. The space is facilitated by Uncle Jack of Wolfberry Studio and PAB volunteer Robin. This is intended as a safe and welcoming environment for all, and anyone acting against the 2SLGBTQIA+ or BIPOC community will be asked to leave. All ages are welcome. Minors or others under legal guardianship should attend with a guardian or friend, and youth may attend with another youth. Guardians, friends, or caretakers do not need to be queer. This basketball camp is tailored for students in the 6th through 8th grades who are looking to improve in a fun, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere. Participants will develop fundamental skills in areas such as ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defense, and overall understanding of the court through various drills, games, and team-based activities. Whether a child is new to basketball or already plays on a team, the camp emphasizes skill-building, boosting confidence, and teaching good sportsmanship. Coach Terrance King, Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Shoreline Community College, will lead the camp. He has over 15 years of coaching experience and a professional playing career overseas. He will focus on helping young athletes develop on and off the court.

Local author Chloe Ito Ward visits Brick & Mortar Books to celebrate the release of her picture book All the Ways We Learn. The story uplifts the many ways children take in the world, from moving and making to creating art and experimenting, and encourages every child to feel capable and proud. Developed by a neurodivergent author and illustrator, it also includes helpful back matter that explains neurodivergence and offers simple supports, reinforcing that there is no single path to learning. Ward is a Japanese American writer, a former curriculum director with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and a longtime kindergarten teacher with a passion for picture books. She is also the author of Love Grows Here (2024) and Made for More (2025). When not writing, she enjoys perfecting ramen, rock climbing, and dancing in the kitchen with her husband, son, and their imaginary dog, Miso.

A free writing workshop opens this gathering, followed by a PIE reading and an open mic featuring poets Patrick Dixon and Michael Daley. The workshop offers space to write and the later program invites readings from the featured guests alongside community voices. Patrick Dixon is a writer and photographer who previously worked as an educator and commercial fisherman. He serves on the board of the Olympia Poetry Network. His full-length collection Mending Holes was published by Moonpath Press, and his poems appear widely in journals and anthologies. His work is included in the Washington State Book Award-winning anthologies Take a Stand: Art Against Hate and I Sing the Salmon Home. He was the poetry editor for National Fisherman magazine’s North Pacific Focus and is part of the FisherPoets Gathering organizing committee. With support from Artist Trust he edited Anchored in Deep Water, The FisherPoets Anthology. He spent his childhood in Logansport, Indiana, and later lived and fished in Kenai, Alaska for more than two decades. Mending Holes is his first full-length poetry collection. Michael Daley is a poet, novelist, translator, and essayist who lives in Anacortes, Washington. He is the author of eight poetry collections, including The Straits, To Curve, Moonlight in the Redemptive Forest, Of a Feather, Born With, Reinhabited, True Heresies, and Ground Work released by Ravenna Press. His prose includes the novel Telemachus and the essay collection Way Out There from Aequitas. He has translated the Italian poet Lucia Gazzino and selections from Horace. His work appears in publications such as American Poetry Review, Hudson Review, Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, and North American Review. A founding editor of Empty Bowl Press and editor of The Madrona Project, he has served as poet-in-residence for the Washington State Arts Commission, the Skagit River Poetry Foundation, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and his honors include support from Fulbright, the Seattle Arts Commission, The Fessenden Foundation, Artist Trust, the National Endowment of the Humanities, and the Washington State Arts Commission.

IN A LANDSCAPE brings its 11th season to Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island, where close to a mile of Lake Washington shoreline frames the setting. Large areas of the park are purposefully left natural to protect wetlands and habitats that shelter diverse birdlife and native species. The grounds have a long story, beginning in 1890 as a private school centered on horticulture and hands-on study, later taking the name of horticulturist Luther Burbank. The State of Washington assumed control in 1957, the school moved in 1966, and the land gradually became a public park. The concert unfolds near Calkins Point Sand Beach, reached with a brief walk from parking along the lakeside path. Guests settle on the grass and the small beach, with room to spread out beside the water. In this touring series, natural landscapes replace the traditional concert hall across the American West, featuring pianist Hunter Noack performing on a 9 foot Steinway concert grand. Audience members listen through wireless headphones and may wander, letting the music accompany their experience outdoors. This gathering takes place on the ancestral homeland of the Duwamish and Suquamish peoples.

Downtown Issaquah comes alive for ArtWalk & Music Stroll, a summer series that turns Front Street into an outdoor gallery and music route. Celebrate Woodinville Festival

Celebrate Woodinville Festival fills Wilmot Gateway Park with a lively fair featuring a craft beverage garden, food vendors, local artists, exhibitors, family activities, and displays from the Woodinville Car Club. The festivities also include a complimentary community pancake breakfast hosted by Eastside Fire & Rescue at Fire Station 31, with games and the option to make cash donations on site. An annual community parade features gymnasts, classic cars, and more. Basset hounds take the spotlight at the Basset Bash in DeYoung Park, with playful contests for longest ears and most impressive howl, and owners are welcome to participate. The Woodinville Farmers Market adds to the celebration with a daytime market experience.

Al Fresco on Front Street

Al Fresco on Front Street is a partnership between the City and the Downtown Issaquah Association that turns Front Street in Olde Town into a pedestrian-friendly corridor through a series of weekend street closures. The program creates more room for open-air dining, shopping, community-focused activities, and relaxed strolling. Participating businesses can expand into the public right of way with extra seating, product displays, and added customer experiences. Details about special weekend activities will be announced.

LWSC Equine & Vines Prize Ride

Take part in a prize trail ride on clearly marked routes, followed by a relaxed wine tasting. Pre-registration includes automatic entry into a gift card drawing with prizes available at check-in. A second drawing will be held for participants who register after the pre-registration period or on the day of the event, featuring gift cards and other prizes. With more than 300 feet of net elevation loss, it is shaped for steady pacing and speed, offering a chance to chase a personal record or enjoy a comfortable, confidence boosting run. Designed to be accessible and well supported, it delivers a fast, scenic experience across the region’s greenways. Staggered wave starts are planned, and shuttle service will be available from the finish back to the start.
