Guests can hear student stories, view original artwork, explore auction items that include travel, and enjoy a preview of a new video highlighting student voices from classrooms. The event welcomes arts supporters, educators, and community members.

Discover the imaginative currents of surrealism in a free art talk with Brian Despain. Framed by the theme The Accidental Surrealist, he shares both a historical view of the movement and reflections from his own practice, opening a window into process, symbolism, and storytelling. The program is presented in connection with the Delusions exhibition in the Gallery at Graphite. Despain is an American artist known for intricate, symbol-rich paintings that blend fantasy with narrative depth. After early work in graphic design and 3D modeling for the game industry, he turned his focus to richly allegorical oil paintings. He lives in the Puget Sound area, is represented by Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle, and exhibits nationally and internationally.
