2026 Photo Gala
The Northwoods Wildlife Center presents its Photo Gala, a celebration of North American wildlife and the landscapes they call home. Amateur and professional photographers are welcome to submit their work, with a $20 fee per entry and a limit of 300 total submissions. Entries can be submitted online. The contest features four categories. North American Wildlife offers a People’s Choice award of $50 for first place, with recognition for second and third. Naturescapes highlights scenes such as lakes, forests, sunrises, sunsets, and mountains, also with a $50 People’s Choice first prize and recognition for runners up. Bugs and Blooms focuses on close views of insects and plant life and follows the same People’s Choice format. A Professional category is available for photographers who create or sell their work in any professional capacity and want to support the Northwoods Wildlife Center, and this category does not include a cash award. One Photo of the Year, selected from all categories by three professional photographers, will receive a $500 prize. At the Campanile Center for the Arts, the public can browse and vote on hundreds of images while enjoying music, food, and a community atmosphere. A raffle will feature baskets donated by local businesses.

Downtime Acoustic returns to Town Pump with a fun acoustic performance that encourages sing-alongs and a relaxed night out. Expect an easygoing set that invites the crowd to participate and unwind. Guests can also try items from the menu while enjoying the music.

Spring Fling Weekend at Island City Lanes features karaoke, a live performance by Knock Point, and a 9-pin tournament fundraiser for the Tavern League. Multiple shifts are offered for the tournament, and sign-up is available at the lanes or by calling 715-356-7779. Door prizes and raffles are planned, with more information to come.
