đ° In the news
Community pride takes center stage: IrishFest Denver returns March 14 to the Rockies parking lot at 21st and Blake with music, dancing, and local bites. Proceeds support Ballpark Collective RNO and neighborhood improvements — get all the event details.
New pathway for adult learners: University of Denver has launched the state’s first reduced-credit bachelor’s, cutting requirements to 136 quarter hours and trimming about a year, potentially saving older and returning students more than $26,000 — get all the details.
Community concerns steer decision: Denver plans to hire Axon for the cityâs license plate readers as Flockâs contract expires this month, with a proposed deal limiting data access and keeping scans for 21 days — see what the contract includes.
Nothing prepares you for a pet emergency: I learned that the hard way after charging $10k to a credit card for life-saving surgery on my cat, Miss Stache. As soon as we got home, I signed up for Spot. Itâs super affordable â and reimburses up to 90% of the bill.
Compare rates for free: The national average for car insurance is around $175/month. Paying more than that? Same, so I did some shopping around and ended up cutting my premium in half. If you haven’t checked in a while, you’re probably overpaying too — here’s the comparison tool I used.

đ Gold and silver are heating up
Together with our sponsor American Hartford Gold
Gold just posted its strongest run in decades⊠and the momentum is carrying into 2026. Silver has become one of the most talked-about assets as investors look for ways to stay ahead of market volatility.
While many are still sitting on the sidelines, others are quietly repositioning.
If youâre wondering whether youâre missing something, AHG has a free guide explaining whatâs driving the renewed interest⊠and how investors are approaching precious metals right now.
Itâs free and worth reading before the next move.

𫶠We got your back
Fresh pasta, no fuss: When you need a carb reset, Dio Mio rolls handmade noodles and playful plates that say treat yourself, keep it chill. Itâs counter-service, and rotating pastas plus absurdly good focaccia make dinner decisions easy tonight.
Closet time capsule: Denverâs long-running Boss Vintage has curated the real deal since 1989, with pieces from Edwardian elegance to â90s nostalgia. If your closet craves character, expect a dig-worthy mix… usually something with the perfect patina, a wink of history, and plenty of personality.
Serious chill, zero frostbite: When joints complain, Colorado Cryo Clinic brings targeted cryotherapy to ease aches, speed recovery, and even support body sculpting. Quick sessions fit between errands, and the blast of cold somehow lands as oddly and deeply satisfying.
Thinning hair? It only gets worse: A few months ago, I noticed my ponytail getting thinner. I tried the usual stuff (biotin, shampoo, etc.) but mostly just hoped it would fix itself⊠until I learned that active follicles can permanently go dormant if you donât do something about it. The good news? You can get treatment that actually works with no office visits or trips to the pharmacy. Learn more about my favorite online options here.
