Weekly Fine Art Class | New Class Time for Adults - Classes Begin June 17th
American narrative artist Sarah West opens her studio to aspiring creatives for weekly fine art classes at The Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art, a Center for Cultural Arts in Smiths Station, Alabama. Participants learn alongside the artist in an engaging studio environment designed to be both enriching and hands-on. The curriculum focuses on foundational skills including drawing, color theory, painting, and related techniques. Enrollment provides one class each week, a ten-week studio concentration, and fine art supplies, and classes observe major holidays. Beginners are welcome, and artists of all experience levels can take part. A new class time for adults is being introduced, and summer enrollment is open to new students. Art class gift certificates are available. The gallery is also the working home of Sarah West and Michele West, a mother and daughter team whose center has grown since 2008 through mentorship and collaborative practice. Remaining spots are expected to fill, so early enrollment is encouraged.

Yoga with Donna
Donna leads a balanced yoga session that blends an energizing Vinyasa flow with soothing Yin. The practice begins with about 30 minutes of breath-led sequences that link poses into a meditative flow, then shifts into roughly 30 minutes of gentle, longer holds along with a short meditation. A playlist you can move to sets a motivating tone. Vinyasa emphasizes transitions guided by deliberate breathing to cultivate strength, ease, and fluidity in body and mind. Yin is suitable for all levels and targets the deep connective tissues and joints around the hips, pelvis, and lower back, with holds of about three to five minutes. The cost is $10 per class. Please bring your own mat and any preferred props, such as blocks, a strap, a bolster, or a blanket.
