Parent Empowerment Session
A welcoming forum where parents can bring questions, exchange experiences, and build understanding around important topics. Participants learn about their rights and how to advocate effectively in their role as parents. It is also a chance to connect with others who are committed to equity in education, leaving with useful information, encouragement, and a renewed sense of empowerment.
Tuesday Night Trails
At Red Mountain Park, this trail meet offers six options so everyone can find a comfortable pace and distance. The fast group covers 6 to 7 miles at roughly eight minutes per mile with no walk breaks, ideal for experienced runners who want to push hard. The intermediate group runs about 5 miles around a ten-minute pace with a quick regroup. A steady, upbeat option tackles about 4.5 miles at roughly 11 to 12 minutes per mile for a solid effort without racing. A relaxed run covers about 4 miles near a 12-minute pace, running the flats and descents and walking the hills with regrouping as needed. The beginner-friendly choice goes about 3 miles around a 12-minute pace with additional breaks, mixing in more walking on climbs while keeping an easy rhythm on flatter sections. A brisk walk and hike option spans about 2.75 miles, sometimes following the flatter BMRR South Trail and other times heading to the old mines and along Ike Maston for a bit of elevation. Group leaders and sweepers help participants find the right fit and make sure no one gets left behind.
