Boo Bash by the Bay fills USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park with a full day of Halloween festivities on the water. Costumes are encouraged for all ages, and a lawn chair makes it easy to settle in for live entertainment throughout the day. Look for music by Fat Lincoln, The Dirty Fridays, and Heavy Rotation, along with more than 70 vendors and food trucks, trick or treating, inflatables, balloon twisting, games and activities, giveaways, and shopping from local makers. Costume contests welcome kids, adults, and pets. The event is pet friendly, and leashed, well behaved dogs are invited to join in, including the pet costume contest. Adoptable dogs from the City of Mobile Animal Services will also be on site. Admission is $10 per person, and children 12 and under are free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Every ticket includes one entry to win two pit tickets to a Red Clay Strays show in Mobile, an estimated $500 value, with the option to purchase additional entries and no limit on how many you can buy. The winner will be announced at the event, and you do not need to be present to claim the prize. A portion of ticket proceeds supports Hunter’s Heart Foundation and its Angel Tree program, with additional visibility for local nonprofit partners. Mobile Roller Derby wraps up its home season with MBRD taking on Roe City Roller Derby. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door, and children 12 and under are admitted free. The league is also seeking sponsors and has packages available.

Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama hosts the Halloween Havoc season finale as the Hoosier Racing Tire USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by XC Gear brings winged Sprint Cars packing more than 750 horsepower. Drivers will take on the 3/8 mile, high banked Alabama clay oval at speeds topping 125 miles per hour, setting up a night of tight battles and high intensity laps. The lineup features USCS Sprint Cars, CRUSA Dirt Late Models with $2,000 to win, Factory Stock, Pure Stock, and a Crown Vic vs Bombers Full Moon Showdown. Family friendly extras include costume contests for kids and adults, candy during a meet the drivers Track or Treat session, a pumpkin carving contest, and what is billed as the world’s first Great Pumpkin Race on Wheels. It is a full slate of racing and Halloween themed fun.

Pumpkin Sunday offers a laid back, family friendly morning at Shore Light. Children can choose a free pumpkin to take home, and pumpkin pie will be available for everyone with whipped cream. Friends, neighbors, and coworkers are welcome to share in a simple, sweet time together.

Kingswood United Methodist Church hosts an annual Trunk or Treat featuring creatively decorated car trunks, plenty of sweets, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Children and families can go trunk to trunk for candy and seasonal fun, with costumes encouraged to add to the festivities. It is a lighthearted community gathering centered on togetherness and celebration.

Trunk or Treat features candy, a chili cook-off, a bounce house, along with horseback and train rides. Admission is free.

OcTubaFest celebrates the tuba and euphonium, along with hopes for cooler weather, in the heart of Downtown Mobile. The Port City Tuba Euphonium Ensemble, a relaxed chamber group featuring students, teachers, hobbyists, and professionals, showcases the resonant power of the local low brass community. The schedule includes a trunk or treat, on-site bites from Jojo’s Wings, and a concert. Attendees are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes, decorate their trunks, and bring treats for trick-or-treaters. Bringing a chair or blanket is suggested for comfortable seating and a spooky, family-friendly atmosphere.
