This weekend in Pell City, AL

Set in Mt Laurel, this farmers market and craft fair highlights locally grown vegetables, flowers, honey, eggs, meat, and a range of other items, along with crafts.

Training centered on the Steyr AUG is offered in two formats suited to different learning goals. The one day Marksman course builds confidence with core operation and upkeep, beginning with disassembly, cleaning, simple modifications, and fundamental handling techniques. Live fire uses the KTS Kongsberg System from covered firing positions across 100, 200, 300, and 600 yard lines, along with an unknown distance steel range at Talladega CMP. It is paced for those who prefer a more deliberate approach rather than run and gun. Magnified optics are recommended. Rental guns are available, and lunch, a class t-shirt, and other perks are included. The two day Operator course starts with the Marksman foundation then advances into practical and tactical use of the AUG. The second day introduces close quarters work, shooting from barricades, alternate positions, malfunction drills, and engagements on moving, steel, and reactive targets, using the KTS Kongsberg System on the same 100 to 600 yard ranges and the unknown distance steel range. Optics with magnification or a BDC are suggested. Rental guns are available, and lunch, a class t-shirt, and other perks are included. Operator students can receive a discount on the Armorer course, creating a convenient three day progression.

Mark the tenth year of Fall on the Farm with a day of family-friendly activities. Admission and parking are free. Children can enjoy complimentary face painting, games, inflatable attractions, and playful photo spots. Explore more than 75 arts and crafts vendors, choose from a variety of food vendors, and enjoy live musical performances. Seasonal highlights include pumpkins and fresh produce.

A charity horsepower competition at Motorvations Motorsports offers $70 slots with up to three runs each. Eligible vehicles must be 2WD, and diesels or hood-exit exhaust setups are not permitted. Crowns will be awarded to the highest horsepower domestic and the highest horsepower import, but titles are only claimed if the spring event leaders are surpassed. Proceeds support Ady’sBigArmy.

A Lure will be cast at the Scarlet Raven Gaming PokéStop, offering a chance to catch Pokémon and spend time with other Pokémon Go players.
