A fall pre-season camp focused on elite development wraps up the summer with training designed to send players into the new season confident, prepared, and ready to perform. Athletes will work in a structured setting that targets ball mastery, quicker play, sharper decisions, and translating skills into real game moments. Open to boys and girls in the U10 to U14 age groups, the sessions are led by Coach Martin Khoshaba, a former club founder and youth director with more than 15 years of coaching experience.

Culdesac in Tempe hosts a kickoff reception launching the second annual Sleep Out in support of the Homeless ID Project. Community leaders, local businesses, advocates, and supporters come together to spotlight an often overlooked barrier to ending homelessness, the lack of identification, while raising vital funds to address it. The program explores how an ID can open access to employment, housing, healthcare, treatment, and other essential services. Many people experiencing homelessness are working to regain stability, yet without identification the path forward can feel blocked, limiting opportunities and support. Attendees hear stories of lives changed when identification is secured and learn practical ways to help more neighbors take that crucial first step. The reception sets the tone for a one night, community-focused effort that advances progress toward ending homelessness.

A handicap travel league round at Neely Farms welcomes all abilities with a level playing field through handicap scoring. Participation is free, with an optional $5 buy-in and a $1 ace pool. Payouts are determined by handicap scoring, using a 100 percent payout with a top 40 percent structure. CTP prizes, giveaways, an ace pot, and bag tag battles add extra excitement. Scoring uses UDisc, and the meeting point is Hole 1. The home layout is Neely Farms DGC as listed on UDisc, set for 18 holes on a 9 hole loop rated par 54. There are no tee signs or permanent tee pads. Most holes throw from marked sidewalk areas, while holes 2, 3, 8, and 9 use grass tees. Staying on grass keeps the shot in bounds; the fence line, the rock border, and anything beyond are out of bounds. The running river is treated as a hazard with a one stroke penalty played from the lie. Mandatory routes apply on holes 7 and 9, and those two holes also play as islands. Shots that do not come to rest on the island proceed to the marked drop zone with one penalty stroke. Hole distances are as follows: Hole 1 plays 145 feet, Hole 2 is 255 feet, Hole 3 stretches to 361 feet, Hole 4 is 252 feet, Hole 5 is 267 feet, Hole 6 reaches 331 feet, Hole 7 is 219 feet and plays as an island, Hole 8 is 279 feet, and Hole 9 is 200 feet and also an island. For parking, avoid blocking homes, and use the additional parking available across at the school.

AUGUST PLAY DATE - Fifty Shades of Blue

Head to Kokopelli Golf Club for a summer play date themed Fifty Shades of Blue. To stay ahead of the Arizona heat, this edition features early tee times and is planned as a full 18 holes with a cart. The Golf Party Live atmosphere is relaxed and beginner friendly, and anyone who prefers a shorter day can wrap up after nine holes. During Arizona summers, morning tee times tend to be in high demand, so pricing between nine and eighteen holes is similar. The $80 entry covers 18 holes, a golf cart, organized GPL pairings, on-course contest holes, and a friendly GPL vibe. After the round, an optional 19th hole offers food and drinks for those who want to hang out. The theme calls for your favorite blue golf outfit. This event is co-ed. The admission or green fee is nonrefundable, and a replacement player may attend in your place if you cannot make it.

The small ballroom is dedicated to West Coast Swing with instruction and social dancing to WCS music. At pickup, bring a receipt as a backup and a volunteer will load the box into your vehicle. If the online ordering cutoff is missed, Cash-N-Carry produce boxes are available on a first come, first served basis. This effort is part of C.A.M.P.’s Shop N Select in person markets and PrePacks2Go locations, helping Arizona communities supplement meals at an affordable cost while reducing food waste. Every $15 donation supports programmatic and transportation expenses so more market locations can be hosted.
