Somatic Breathwork Experience... Reset Yourself!

At The Halo Sanctuary, this guided somatic breathwork experience focuses on helping the body complete the stress cycle so tension does not remain stuck in the nervous system. The session moves through activation, calming, stillness, and grounding. During activation, participants safely lean into anxious or restless energy so it can mobilize and release, then transition into deep calm and grounded stillness that signals the body it is safe to let go. Practices may include somatic breathwork, mindful movement, gentle somatic stretches, guided visualization, NLP-informed approaches, vagal toning, and optional touch-based co-regulation and grounding. Many people feel relief right away, and with regular practice this work supports nervous system regulation and healthier emotional patterns. The experience is woven with intention setting, guided somatic awareness, guided meditation, and time for integration. A mini journal is provided for reflections, and a calming nervine herbal tea is offered afterward. Oracle cards and a brief integration support call within one week are also included. A limited number of VIP spots are available and include access to the Himalayan Salt Cave with a lounger during breathwork and integration, Crown Grounding, and a wellness gift. General and VIP formats are offered. Please arrive early to settle in so the session can begin without interruption. No late entries are admitted once class starts. For comfort, consider bringing an eye mask, a pillow and thin blanket, lip balm, and water. A thin cork mat, blanket, and bolster are provided. It is recommended to avoid eating for 1.5 to 2 hours before the session. Somatic breathwork is a powerful practice and may not be suitable for everyone. Contraindications include uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart conditions, severe asthma, COPD or other serious respiratory issues, epilepsy or seizure disorders, active psychosis, schizophrenia or severe bipolar disorder, pregnancy without prior approval, and recent surgeries or injuries. By participating, individuals confirm they are in good health, have reviewed these considerations, and take responsibility for their ability to engage safely.

This meeting focuses on Rebecca Firkser’s Galette! Sweet and Savory Recipes As Easy As Pie, which features 50 approachable ways to make the rustic freeform tart using a simple crust and minimal tools. The book highlights how galettes can be sweet or savory and adapted to what is on hand, whether fresh or frozen produce, with ideas that work for quick weeknights or that can be prepared ahead for a crowd. Examples include fruit combinations like peaches with granola, savory pairings such as marinated artichokes and tomatoes, a slab-style brown butter apple and honey dessert for sharing, and individual lemony spinach and rice galettes for dinner. Canning Series

At Classic Cooking, this opening session starts a six week, hands on exploration of home canning for beginners and curious cooks, focusing on building confidence and learning core safety practices. Across the series, participants progress from using liquid and powdered pectins to long boil methods, while understanding the distinctions between jams, jellies, preserves, and marmalades. The recipe lineup features both sweet and savory options, including lemon ginger marmalade, smoky barbecue sauce, rich tomato pasta sauces, and a bright lemon caponata. Later classes emphasize a well stocked pantry and gift ready jars, with items such as a cranberry orange chutney suited to the holidays and a hot and sweet chili sauce that pairs well with seafood and dishes with Asian flavors. Each week centers on two proven recipes tied to that session’s goals and typically yields about six half pint jars per person, so everyone heads home with something they made in class. The series wraps up by celebrating vegetables with fresh salsas and relishes that are versatile for many meals, leaving participants with the skills and inspiration to keep canning.
