Living Into Luminous Thresholds of Being

Guided by Michael Powell, this one-day workshop invites participants into an exploration of Celtic wisdom as a sacred journey toward living more fully as beloved and expressing that love in relationship with others. Through conversation and reflection, it considers the kind of energy that can reshape how we see ourselves and open pathways to love and wisdom. Themes include friendship, belonging, solitude, creativity, and new creation stories within the Christian tradition, along with attentive engagement with language that can awaken imaginal wonder and awe. The experience draws on three books, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom by John O’Donohue, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul by John Philip Newell, and Consolations by David Whyte. Participants take part in three 75 minute dialogues, one centered on each text, followed by an additional hour to review, reflect, and sit with the beauty, peace, and good expressed in these writings. Learning unfolds through tabletop interaction, large group discussion, and materials provided by the facilitator. The fee is $75 and includes lunch. Pre-registration is required, and scholarships are available.

Your Spiritual Legacy: Reflections into the Heart of Who You Are

Led by Mary Dunn and Alanna Mack, this weekend retreat centers on personal legacy and the story at the core of each life. Inspired by the wisdom of Meister Eckhart, Thomas Keating, Thomas Merton, Richard Rohr, Ram Dass, and others, the program blends guided reflection with contemplative practices to help participants recognize inner gifts and the values that guide them. Sessions offer time to reflect on formative life lessons, name the contributions that may matter to others, and clarify what is most important. Participants practice quiet, compassionate listening in community, engage in gentle, meditative movement to spark imagination, and spend time on unhurried walks for simple awareness. The retreat provides practical tools for decisions and conversations with loved ones about legacy and end of life wishes, supporting a clearer sense of how one hopes to be remembered. Those who have attended a previous Spiritual Legacy program will find an integrated follow-up experience woven into the weekend. Past participants have praised the thoughtful structure, the depth of the topics, the welcoming atmosphere, and the quality of guidance throughout the experience.
