A point to point run on the historic Mojave Road covers roughly 90 miles from the Avi Casino on the Colorado River to Kelbaker Road. The route blends rocky passes, narrow double track through ancient Joshua tree country, sweeping valley vistas, and memorable stops that include a rock house, a lava tube, a volcanic mine, a frog garden, a penny tree, and other natural highlights. It is a full day on trail with several short pauses for features and lunch. Weekend traffic can bunch up in places, so patience is part of the plan, with chances to make up miles in other sections. The day wraps at Kelbaker Road, with a short stretch of pavement leading to Interstate 15 and the city of Baker for fuel and food. The remaining segment of Mojave Road beyond Kelbaker is being deferred due to current whoops and rock gardens, monsoon impacts at Soda Lake, and a dry Mojave River crossing. Preparation matters. There is no on trail food or water support, so bring at least two gallons of water along with more than enough food and snacks for a full day. Arrive fueled and carry a minimum range of 200 miles. Pack a full size spare tire, a solid jack, appropriate recovery gear, and a GMRS radio set to channel 16 at 462.575. Ensure your vehicle is in good running condition. The meetup is at the Avi Casino gas station, fueled up, aired down, and ready to roll. Topping off before crossing to the Avi is strongly advised, with nearby options to grab breakfast, a packable trail lunch, snacks, and water. This is a show up, unsponsored outing with no guarantees or provided support. Participation is solely at your own risk, and each driver accepts full responsibility for personal safety, property, and vehicle.

Bring $3.00 in nickels or dimes for a fast paced, round table dice game played with up to eight people per table. Players sit in a circle with a center pot for coins. Before the first roll, everyone places three dimes or nickels into the middle, a starting player is chosen, and turns move clockwise. On your turn, the number of dice you roll depends on how many coins you have. Roll three dice if you hold three or more coins, two dice if you have two, one die if you have one, and skip rolling if you have none. After each roll, act on every die shown. L means give one coin to the player on your left, C means put one coin in the center pot, R means give one coin to the player on your right, and a single dot means no action. If you are using standard six sided dice, treat 1, 2, and 3 as dots, 4 as L, 5 as C, and 6 as R. Pass the dice to the next player when your actions are complete. Running out of coins does not eliminate anyone. You simply wait, since coins may come back to you, and you resume rolling if you have coins when it is your turn again. The round ends as soon as only one person still has coins. That player keeps everything in front of them along with the entire center pot.
