Rotary Park hosts a spring flag football league with one division and a regular season of 10 games, followed by a postseason tournament if more than three teams take part. All teams advance to the playoffs. Throughout the season, statistics are tracked for passing touchdowns, rushing and receiving touchdowns, interceptions thrown, flag pulls, interceptions, defensive touchdowns, sacks, and safeties, with awards for leaders in passing touchdowns, rushing and receiving touchdowns, defensive interceptions, defensive touchdowns, and sacks. The route covers approximately one to two miles with more than 250 feet of elevation gain and falls between easy and moderate, with some loose rock and shifting grades. Water safety starts with multiple safeguards working together, including barriers and alarms, attentive supervision, swimming competency, life jackets, and emergency readiness. To strengthen local response to water incidents, Steelhead Aquatics LLC, also known as Candis’ Swim Lessons, has partnered with Elite Medical Training Academy to offer a free CPR class. The session follows the American Red Cross format and provides guided, hands-on practice led by a certified trainer. It is not a full CPR certification course, yet participants will learn essential steps that can sustain a person until emergency responders arrive. Open to the general public. Attendees should be able to kneel and perform chest compressions on manikins, and some accommodations may be available.

This outing explores a well loved route in SARA Park that follows a wash into a narrow slot canyon, then returns on the Blue Trail for wide ranging views. The distance is about 5 miles with roughly 500 of elevation gain. Participants are asked to meet at parking lot 1 before departure. With hotter weather on the way, bring plenty of water, at least two liters, and prepare by eating well and hydrating with electrolytes the day before. Rotary Park hosts a spring league featuring one division and ten regular season games, with every team advancing to the playoffs. A postseason tournament caps the season if more than three teams take part. Team rosters must include at least four players and no more than nine. Fees are structured as a $250 team sponsor contribution plus $35 per player, or, for teams without a sponsor, $65 per player. Player and team achievements are tracked throughout the season, including passing touchdowns, rushing and receiving touchdowns, interceptions thrown, flag pulls, interceptions, defensive touchdowns, sacks, and safeties. End-of-season honors recognize leaders in passing touchdowns, rushing and receiving touchdowns, defensive interceptions, defensive touchdowns, and sacks.
