Full Moon Gathering

A special full moon devotional gathering brings Sacred Liiight together with vocalist and kirtan artist Johanna Beekman in Queen Creek for an evening centered on music, light, and heartfelt connection. Sacred Liiight previously offered two back to back evenings at ZenLife Center for Healing during the Activate The Light Tour, guiding participants through deep relaxation, emotional release, and expanded awareness. They now return on the Becoming One With The Light Tour with Johanna Beekman to shape a unique experience that weaves Ajna Light Therapy, ceremonial cacao, conscious movement, devotional kirtan, Holy Fire® Reiki, Human Design insights, and vibrational sound healing. Guests are invited into a dedicated ceremonial space where the heart can open, the senses can awaken, and authentic expression can move through voice, movement, and presence. Under the energy of the full moon, the Human Design transits known as Gate 44 and Gate 24 highlight repeating patterns and encourage a return to inner clarity, honest awareness, and the wisdom that arises in stillness. The atmosphere emphasizes joy, devotion, and shared presence, blending modern spiritual technologies with time honored ceremonial practices. Hosted by ZenLife Center for Healing. Ajna Light Frequency Therapy is an innovative modality created by Guy Harriman. Using pulsed LED lights within a Tesla Plate field, it gently guides the brain into deep meditative states, connecting scientific frequencies with the exploration of consciousness. Important information for participants: the experience includes flickering light and is not recommended for individuals with epilepsy. For those taking prescription antipsychotic medication, effects may vary, so personal discretion or consultation with a healthcare provider is advised. Anyone who prefers to skip the light portion can bring an eye mask and still enjoy the sound journey. Attendance is limited to maintain an intimate setting, and all levels, backgrounds, and bodies are welcome. Seating is on the floor, so bringing a yoga mat, a blanket or shawl, a cushion or pillow, and a water bottle can support comfort throughout the evening. Tickets are available at a presale price of $55 or at a day of price of $66.

Friend to Friend Program May

Discover Freemasonry through real connections at a welcoming program presented by Gila Valley No. 9 F & AM Masonic Lodge. The Friend to Friend Program centers on personal relationships, introducing good men to the Craft through trust, open conversation, and shared values rather than recruitment. Masons focus on genuine friendships with friends, coworkers, neighbors, or family, then include them in informal lodge activities, community gatherings, shared meals, or educational events. These experiences offer a clear view of what Freemasonry stands for and how a lodge works long before any petition is discussed. The approach values depth over numbers and gives each man the space to move at a comfortable pace, ask sincere questions, and decide whether the fraternity aligns with his principles and commitments.

The Wild West Fiddle Project

Arizona Humanities presents a speaker program at the PCHS Museum that blends conversation and live music. Flagstaff musician and researcher Dr. Kate Rose leads the Wild West Fiddle Project and directs the nonprofit Wild Steps. After two years learning from fiddling farmers in County Clare, Ireland, she approaches music as something shaped by place and the rhythms of rural life. Her performances and research illuminate and renew the cross-cultural music and dance traditions of the American Southwest, and her storytelling draws on true accounts of Arizona musicians. Guitarist Armand Ramirez often joins her, grounding the sound in Hispanic traditions and adding rhythmic drive. Ramirez is an accomplished multi-genre player with decades of professional experience and a creative, danceable touch. His work spans jazz, Celtic, classical, flamenco, folk traditions, and Latin music. He is also an avid researcher of local history and of his own family’s Arizona roots, bringing a multidisciplinary lens to cultural storytelling and performance. Together, they also perform as the duo Wild World Irish Fiddle. Admission is free.

Friend to Friend Program June

At Gila Valley No. 9 F & AM Masonic Lodge, this gathering highlights the Friend to Friend Program, a straightforward and relationship centered approach that introduces men to Freemasonry through genuine friendship rather than recruitment. It rests on trust, conversation, and shared values, encouraging members to include friends, coworkers, neighbors, or family members in informal lodge activities, community happenings, shared meals, and educational occasions. Through these experiences, prospective members gain a clear picture of what Freemasonry represents and how a lodge functions, well before any petition is considered. The emphasis is on depth rather than numbers, giving each man time to learn at his own pace, ask honest questions, and decide whether the fraternity aligns with his values and commitments.

AdvoCAT Academy Summer Camp

A cat-centered summer camp experience invites kids ages 7 to 13 to laugh, create, connect, and learn in a way that nurtures confidence and compassion. Developed by Missy, founder of She’s All Cat and the creator of Arizona’s first cat café, La Gattara (now Phoenix Cat Cafe), the program draws on years of work in animal welfare and community education to help young people view animals with empathy and purpose. Each day blends playful exploration with meaningful skills. Campers learn how cats think and communicate, take part in hands-on projects such as crafts, storytelling, and advocacy activities, enjoy painting alongside feline friends and calming yoga with cats, and hear from veterinarians and behavior specialists. They also connect with adoptable cats in collaboration with local rescue partners, and mascots Chicky Nuggie and Waffles make appearances. The heart of the camp is empowerment. Children discover their voice, grow their confidence, and learn how their choices can make a positive difference. The week concludes with a graduation that recognizes each participant as a graduate of the academy and celebrates them as young superheroes for animals. To close the season, nine groups from across Arizona come together for a showcase where campers share what they learned through creative presentations and performances while celebrating a growing community of young advocates. The focus throughout is simple and lasting, helping kids become kinder, braver, and more aware of the world around them so compassion becomes a habit they carry forward.
