Breathwork for Self-Awareness & Emotional Healing with Erica

Experience breathwork in a steady, welcoming setting designed for both newcomers and returning practitioners seeking a deeper, more integrated approach. The session opens with clear guidance on why the body needs a sense of safety and how the nervous system influences emotions and coping habits, then moves into guided reflection to help you notice your own signals and patterns. You will then lie down for a guided breathwork segment lasting 45 minutes in a calm, contained environment. This approach may gently awaken the nervous system so that emotions and sensations beneath everyday awareness can surface safely. Rather than pushing for quick release or instant calm, the emphasis is on awareness, choice, and integration, supporting emotional clarity and long-term regulation. You remain in control of your experience at all times, and no prior breathwork background is required. This class suits anyone wanting to better understand body cues and emotional responses, experience breathwork with strong support, build self-awareness and resilience, and make choices that align with the heart. Cost is $30.

I Can See Your House From Here | Mitchell, Smith, Vint, Neely

Two singular guitar voices once met at the Power Station in New York City to create I Can See Your House from Here, pairing John Scofield’s gritty, blues inflected bite with Pat Metheny’s lyrical, radiant tone. With Steve Swallow on bass and Bill Stewart on drums anchoring the session, their lines spar and intertwine from opposite sides of the stereo image across eleven tracks. Released on Blue Note, the album has since been celebrated as a touchstone of modern jazz, a true dialogue between friends and peers that pushed both artists into new territory. This live tribute brings that music back to life in an intimate setting, featuring Matt Mitchell and Pete Smith on guitars, Arthur Vint on drums, and Adam Neely on bass. ArtDontSleep presents JAZZ IS DEAD w/ MARCOS VALLE

KXCI and ArtDontSleep present Jazz Is Dead with Marcos Valle, the Brazilian singer, songwriter, and producer whose career bridges bossa nova, MPB, funk, and jazz fusion. Valle studied classical music while immersing himself in jazz, began writing with his brother Paulo Sérgio as lyricist, and quickly earned national recognition after Tamba Trio scored a hit with one of his early compositions. His second album, O Compositor e o Cantor, became a touchstone, and its single Samba de Verão inspired countless cover versions. International collaborations and releases followed, including celebrated recordings like Samba ’68 and the groove-rich Garra, as his sound evolved to embrace rock influences, bass-driven rhythms, and smooth funk without losing his melodic core. Later, renewed attention from the rare-groove scene led to retrospectives and new projects, among them Nova Bossa Nova, Sempre with notable guest musicians, and Cinzento featuring collaborations across Brazil’s contemporary music community. Valle also partnered with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad for the Jazz Is Dead series, creating new music that threads together samba, bossa, MPB, and psychedelic funk, including a duet with Patricia Alvi. This is a standing room only show, with seating included for High Top Tables for 4 and Stage View Seating ticket types. The event is open to ages 16 and up, and attendees under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Angel Parking may be available as an add-on during checkout.
