The Emperors bring classic rock energy to the historic Shell as part of the Summer at the Shell Tuesdays Concert in the Park Series, delivering favorites from the 60s and 70s and more from one of Southern California’s standout bands. Set in the 1929 band shell in the heart of Recreation Park, the venue sits across from Wilson High School, between Federation Drive and Park Avenue, and north of 7th Street. More than 600 bench seats are available, along with a wide lawn for blankets and low-back chairs. This family-friendly, all-ages concert welcomes neighbors, friends, and families to relax and enjoy music beneath the evening sky. Admission is free. Picnic dinners and snacks are welcome. Bring a blanket or low-back chair if you prefer the lawn, and do not forget your dancing shoes. Presented by Live at The Shell, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, these free community concerts are supported by generous sponsors and music lovers.
