At CCRC’s Victorville office, this series offers a research-informed course for dads and father figures who want to build caring, healthy relationships with their children. The Nurturing Fathers Program emphasizes constructive parenting, emotional insight, and responsible fatherhood to strengthen families and support children’s well-being. Over the span of 13 weekly meetings, participants connect with fellow fathers for guided conversation and reflection on the role of fatherhood. Dinner is provided at each session. An inclusive karate class welcomes children, teens, and adults of all abilities in a supportive setting. Sessions emphasize clear structure, steady routine, and personal growth. Participants practice foundational techniques while building balance, coordination, focus, and confidence. Instruction is tailored to each person’s pace, acknowledging effort, progress, and respect for oneself and others. The program nurtures self-discipline and emotional regulation, develops strength and overall coordination, and promotes teamwork, respect, and positive behavior. Beginners are welcome and do not need any prior karate experience. Families and caregivers may watch or join in if that is helpful.
