The Palmdale Friday Night Market turns an ordinary grocery run into a family-friendly outing. Browse local vendors, sample a variety of foods, and enjoy music in the park, with live entertainment scheduled on select Fridays. Performers across the season include Senolavie, Almas Mexicanas of the Antelope Valley Folklorico, Rayford Bros Band, DJ IPA, Stars and Stripes Summer Celebration, Bag of Tricks, Chalk Malfia, Mariachi Herencia Cardena, and On Tap Band. Only service animals are permitted.

The Barony of Dun Or presents the Festival of the Rose, a joyous celebration of love, beauty, and the creative spirit of Caid in honor of Her Royal Majesty, Queen Fara. Continuing a tradition that began in 1980 with the Queen’s Arts Tea established by Queen Amsha, this gathering invites associates to the Peerage, along with artisans, scholars, and performers from across the realm, to share their talents in the arts, sciences, and bardic disciplines. Offerings may be displayed for admiration or entered in friendly competition, all in tribute to the Crown and in pursuit of the title of Her Champion. A silent auction benefiting the Kingdom Travel Fund will take place, with quality item donations gratefully welcomed. Throughout the day, the program features time for artisans to set up displays, an opening court, a midday meal break, scheduled bardic presentations, and a closing court before site closure. Expect ongoing arts and sciences demonstrations, opportunities for performance, and classes that encourage sharing knowledge at any level. Coordination for performance scheduling is supported by His Excellency Baron Fadi. Event registration is set at $25 for adults, with a discounted $15 rate for adult members. Youth aged 17 and under are guests of the Barony. Checks may be made payable to SCA, Inc/Barony of Dun Or. Donations at gate will be accepted to help offset non-member surcharges for those who may need assistance, especially first-time attendees. Site guidelines include no smoking or vaping inside or within 25 feet of playgrounds, observance of all posted signs, and no alcoholic entries. Service animals are always welcome. Pets are permitted outside on a leash. In support of the SCA core value of respecting the worth and dignity of all individuals and to maintain a safe environment for younger participants, artisans and bardic presentations should avoid vulgar, violent, or sexual content. This weekly painting class in Palmdale takes place at Generations Coffee by the AV Mall. It welcomes beginners, with no prior experience needed. The $40 fee includes all materials and step by step guidance. Suitable for ages 9 and up.
