Parking is available and local food vendors will be on site. In and outs are allowed. Picnic tables are first come first served. Folding chairs may be used on the lawn only. Pets, tents, and canopies are not permitted. Outside food and alcohol are not allowed anywhere on the premises. Only clear bags are permitted, with small clutches and fanny packs accepted. Early bird tickets are $25 in limited quantities, general admission pre sale is $35, and kids under 12 are $20 with a school ID required at the door. A limited number of tickets will also be sold at the door.

Take in bay views while moving at your own pace at a race presented by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Choose from a one-mile family fun run, a 5K (3.1 miles), or a 10K (6.2 miles). All courses start and finish at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, where the scenery and cool coastal air create an energizing outing. All entrants receive a commemorative T-shirt and medal, and participation supports the Interpretive Center’s education and conservation programs. Strollers are welcome in the family fun run.

A dedicated Kids Zone brings storytellers, hands-on cultural activities, and imagination-centered experiences that invite children, caregivers, and elders to connect through play and tradition. Set your young dog up for success with a modern socialization class designed specifically for puppies. Sessions create positive experiences with people, other dogs, and new sights and sounds, and they also build comfort with handling for grooming and veterinary care. Foundational skills are taught, including relaxing on a mat, sit, coming when called, leash manners, and targeting. The curriculum addresses important puppy topics such as preventing resource guarding, crate training, house training, and teething. Puppies must be 8 to 16 weeks old at the start of class. The course runs for six weeks with classes held once a week at the same day and time, and this event is the first session in the series.
