This monthly program provides free groceries for anyone who attends, with no income verification. New households can register on the day of distribution. Please park and enter on foot, and bring your own reusable bags and a cart to carry food. Each household can receive up to 100 pounds of groceries. The meal blends beloved traditions with courses that reflect the perspective of growing up Filipino in the United States. The menu is priced at $75. Appetizers begin with chicken lumpia filled with seasoned ground chicken and diced vegetables served alongside a spiced vinegar dip, plus a refreshing summer salad. The family-style mains feature chicken relleno made from drumsticks stuffed with ground chicken and pork, a pickled quail egg, carrots, celery, and onions. Lechon carajay brings smoked and roasted pork belly with a crisp finish, paired with a spiced tamari and citrus sauce and a kabocha squash bagoong puree. Crispy pandan-battered Scottish salmon arrives with calamansi and roasted garlic aioli. Sides include shrimp chips, atchara of pickled sweet peppers, carrots, and onions, and java rice infused with turmeric and coconut. Due to time constraints and mechanical complexity, help will not include detaching wheels with hub motors or wheels with internal gear hubs, so those riders should plan to practice on demo wheels.
