Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue with Michelle Cann

Pianist Michelle Cann joins the Colorado Symphony for a program that pairs ocean-themed orchestral music with two works for piano and orchestra. Peter Oundjian conducts Britten’s Peter Grimes: Four Sea Interludes, moving from the stillness of dawn to the force of a storm, followed by Debussy’s La mer, a vivid portrait of the sea where color and motion blur together. After intermission, Cann performs Florence Price’s Piano Concerto in One Movement, a piece shaped by Late Romantic style and African American spirituals that was nearly lost before being reconstructed from manuscripts about fifteen years ago. The concert concludes with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, a classic that brings together classical writing, jazz, and Broadway influences.

Mummy Unwrapping Immersive Experience & Vintage Bazaar

Step inside Adams Mystery Playhouse, a Victorian mansion with a past as a mausoleum, for an immersive reenactment of a mummy unwrapping. This guided presentation walks through the mummification process layer by layer, echoing the public demonstrations that were popular in the Victorian era and into the 1920s, when travelers often returned from Egypt with mummies and scholars unwrapped them before curious audiences. The demonstration uses a highly realistic replica rather than human remains, and it includes a thoughtful discussion of why historical unwrappings were unethical then and now. The program is presented in collaboration with anthropologist Dr. Jade Luiz and Prof. Daniel T. Michael. Alongside the presentation, explore a vintage bazaar featuring vendors offering antique and vintage items, Victorian and steampunk pieces, and goods inspired by Egypt. Suggested attire includes vintage travel or explorer looks, Victorian or steampunk styles, or Ancient Egyptian themes in shades of gold, tan, and beige. Move. Meet. Match. —Singles Workout with F45 South Park Hill

A partner-based F45 workout for singles at F45 Training South Park Hill creates an active, low-pressure space to move, meet new people, and see what happens. Expect a solid sweat, friendly faces, and chances to connect along the way. The event is hosted in partnership with Two Birds Fit and the F45 South Park Hill team. The session brings together about 30 participants, aiming for a balanced mix of 15 women and 15 men. The workout runs for one hour and pairs participants for strength and cardio intervals, led by the F45 coaches using their signature Functional HIIT approach that blends cardio with resistance-based training. On arrival, check in with the Two Birds Fit team, pick up a name tag, and mingle before, during, and after the workout. There is an option to hang out afterward for discounts on food and drinks, with details to be announced. An optional icebreaker called Find Your Peeps uses the Two Birds Fit web app to suggest six people based on each person’s bio and interests. These are conversation starters rather than matches, a light social scavenger hunt to guide introductions. After the event, participants can opt in to the app to view photos and short bios, indicate interest, and receive up to six Flirt Matches and six Friend Matches within 24 hours when interest is mutual. Adding more to a bio helps improve the quality of suggestions. Two Birds Fit connects singles through workouts, social events, and shared experiences for a relaxed way to meet new people, make friends, and maybe spark something more.

The Growlers

The Growlers take the stage at The Ogden Theatre with a sound that has evolved from reverb-soaked surf and outlaw country into danceable, synth-forward pop. Led by singer Brooks Nielsen with music director and guitarist Matt Taylor, the Dana Point group has been charting its own course since 2006, creating its annual Beach Goth event, touring widely, and building an international fanbase. Their six-album run moves from early releases Are You In Or Out?, Hot Tropics, and Hung at Heart, to the disco-leaning Chinese Fountain and the Julian Casablancas-produced City Club, culminating in Natural Affair, a self-produced record that channels their DIY spirit into bright, beat-driven grooves and lyrics that reflect on social currents and the thrills and risks of modern love. Gottman's Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

Spend a single day strengthening your relationship in a fun, interactive couples workshop that focuses on reconnection, clearer communication, and confident conflict management. Designed for engaged partners, newlyweds, and long-term couples, the program draws on Gottman’s seven principles for making marriage work and provides practical, research-based tools you can use right away without therapy. Expect to learn ways to deepen understanding, communicate more effectively, move beyond recurring patterns, and recognize and avoid the Four Horsemen of criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling. The format features private, guided exercises completed as a couple, so there is no need to share personal details with the group. This is an educational experience, not therapy, and it is not suitable for couples in severe distress or unsafe situations. Privacy is emphasized throughout. Participants leave with a clear plan and usable skills in a supportive, engaging, and down-to-earth setting. Attendance is limited to keep the experience personal.

Her approach is practical and grounded in tradition, shaped by deep respect for the sibyls of earlier eras. Foraging Walk with Robin Greenfield in Denver

At Sloan’s Lake Park, Robin Greenfield leads a foraging walk focused on the edible and medicinal plants that grow abundantly in and around Denver. For an entire year he is obtaining every meal and remedy directly from the wild, skipping grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and even a cultivated garden, and he is traveling to share what he has learned about the freely growing food and medicine all around. Drawing from that experience, he covers how to identify more than ten common local species, how to forage with care and safety, how to harvest in ways that support the plants, and straightforward strategies for getting started. The route is short, typically under a half mile in total and within ten minutes of the starting point, so people of all experience levels can take part. The aim is that participants leave informed and motivated, with a sense of community around foraging. A suggested donation of $10 to $40 supports the nonprofit Regeneration, Equity and Justice, and scholarships are available to keep the experience accessible.

Spellwork consultations are also available in 30, 45, or 60 minutes, priced at $50, $60, and $75. Her approach is grounded and traditional, shaped by a deep respect for historical seers. Using tools like Lenormand, she offers down to earth guidance for everyday concerns or explores what may be ahead, supporting clear choices and next steps. Tarot, Italian Playing Card Readings & Spell Consultations With Frankie

At Ritualcravt, Frankie Castanea offers intuitive sessions that include tarot readings, Italian playing card readings, and spellwork consultations, available in person or virtually. Unless another option is chosen, bookings default to in person. Tarot readings are offered in 20 minute sessions for $45, 30 minutes for $70, and 40 minutes for $90. Readings with Scopa and other Italian regional playing cards are available in 20 minute sessions for $40 and 30 minutes for $65. Spellwork consultations are available in 60 minute sessions for $100 or 30 minutes for $55. Frankie, who uses they and them pronouns, is a tarot and playing card reader, an Italian American folk practitioner, and an ancestral reconnecter. Their path has included almost four years of cultural and ancestral reconnection and seven years of tarot practice. Sessions focus on creating space for clients and offering practical next steps for moving through challenges, with guidance grounded in a deep understanding of the cards. Their study of Italian regional playing cards over the past year draws on a divination approach with roots stretching back about 400 years. The method uses decks tied to traditional games like scopa and calabresella and reflects regional variations found across Italy, from Spanish influenced to Northern, German influenced, and French influenced styles. As with Italian folk traditions, interpretations can vary by family and reader, which lends itself to clear, everyday guidance and direct answers. Spellwork consultations include time to talk through the concern, divination with Italian playing cards, and a collaborative plan for actionable spellwork to address the matter. Frankie’s strengths are rooted in ancestral traditions and folk magic, including work related to protection, banishing, binding and unbinding, blessing, plant allies, spirit interactions, and experiences connected to the evil eye. Each consultation is tailored to the individual’s goals. On Instagram, they are @chaoticwitchaunt.
