AKC Agility Course Test

An AKC Agility Course Test focused on welcoming newcomers to the sport, with judging by Kitty Bradley. Aimed at young dogs and first-time handlers, the day includes guidance on completing entry forms, understanding how trials run, and learning volunteer roles in a beginner friendly, supportive setting. Teams can work toward ACT1J, ACT2J, ACT1, and ACT2 titles. Two runs are offered in the ACT1J and ACT2J jumpers classes, and one run is offered in the ACT1 and ACT2 standard classes. Two qualifying runs earn a title, and qualifying scores can also come from previous ACT events. Class elements include ACT1J with jumps and tunnels only, ACT2J with jumps, tunnels, and 6 weaves, and ACT1 with jumps, tunnels, an A-frame, and a pause table. Registration is available under Tickets, and all teams must complete a paper entry form on site before the first class begins. The cost is $15 per run.

The Montster Mash - Group Bike Ride!

A weekly social group ride loops around Longmont, starting from the shop, with the focus squarely on fun. All bikes and all riders are welcome, and the pace is no drop. Typical routes cover about 8 to 20 miles and include a midway stop to relax, catch up with friends, meet new people, or enjoy a beverage. The route is mostly on bike paths with a few optional singletrack sections. While designed with adults in mind, kids may participate at a parent’s discretion. Rhythmic PlayShop

This interactive, beginner friendly percussion class in Longmont offers a supportive space to explore rhythm. The band features Peter Czolowski on rhythm guitar and vocals, Edwin Hurwitz on bass, Josh Rosen on lead guitar and vocals, Joel Zeiner on drums and percussion, and Joe Weisiger on keyboards and vocals. This show supports an ongoing food drive that helps feed the local community. Outside alcohol or other beverages are not permitted. A broad selection is available beyond beer, including nonalcoholic choices, gluten free options, boozy slushies, wine, kombucha, cider, seltzer, ginger beer, nitro cold brew coffee, and house made fruited lemonade. Water bottles are welcome but must be empty upon entry, and bags may be subject to search. Seating is first come. The Saddle Series Gymkhana features Barrels, Speed Barrels, Flags, Dash, Poles, and Keyhole in that order, plus a new mystery event each month. Exhibition runs are available in every event. Riders compete in age groups that include Leadline, 8 and under, 9 to 11, 12 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 34, and 35 and over. Daily high point awards are presented in each age group, and ribbons are awarded for each class and age division. Class fees are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Returning for a second year, the Gymkhanas are offered as a Saddle Series for JSC members. To qualify, participants must be members and complete all year end requirements. FORD vs CHEVY Weekend Extravaganza

A multi-venue celebration of the Ford and Chevy rivalry brings together track thrills, community gatherings and a showcase of standout vehicles. The lineup includes a track day and driver skills competition at Colorado National Speedway, an evening garage party at Collision Brewing Company, a visit to the Shelby Museum and the Canyonball Run Rally, followed by a Ford vs Chevy car show at Boulder County Fairgrounds featuring trophies, entertainment, prizes and music. Spectators are free, advance show registration is $5 and day-of registration is $10, and pre-registered cars receive a free lunch. A special screening of Ford v Ferrari at Canyon Theater is also part of the festivities. The car show includes a salute to America and veterans.

Ladies Only Car Care Workshop

Designed for women, this hands-on car care workshop is led by Tuscany Freeman, a Ford certified mechanical technician, and focuses on the fundamentals of maintenance and roadside readiness in a welcoming environment. The session begins with demonstrations, then participants practice on their own vehicles. Topics include changing a tire, installing a wiper blade, replacing an engine air filter, checking fluids, and measuring tire pressure and tread depth. Wear clothing that can get dirty, and clear the trunk or cargo space so the spare and jack are easy to reach. Gloves and shop towels are provided, along with snacks and a goodie bag to bring home. The workshop wraps up with time to chat and ask questions.

Longmont Water Fair/Feria del Aqua de Longmont

Now in its third year, the Longmont Water Fair introduces a fresh theme with new, hands-on ways to explore what happens to water after it flows down the drain. This free event blends science, art, and learning as you follow water’s journey. Visit interactive stations, help create artwork on oversized maps, enjoy live performances, talk with local water experts, spend time at the water, and complete a Water Passport to earn prizes. Attendees can deepen their understanding of how Colorado’s water is shared and head home with simple ideas to help protect it for the future.

SURIVOR WEEK CAMP

Ark Ninja turns into Ninja Survivor Island for a weeklong camp filled with epic ninja challenges, obstacle missions, team games, and kid-friendly immunity-style competitions inspired by the TV show Survivor. Campers receive a Survivor-style buff, rotate through different tribes across the week, and compete for points, prizes, Spirit Tokens, and bragging rights while staying active and engaged. Monday begins with tribe building, obstacle relays, scavenger hunts, and custom buff design. Tuesday brings timed courses, rope climbs, balance trials, and puzzle missions. Wednesday focuses on survival skills and strategy with team problem-solving, endurance gauntlets, and blindfolded navigation. Thursday features tribal games, hidden idol hunts, and team competitions. Friday wraps up with mega obstacle relays, final team challenges, and a fun vote to see which coach gets pied. Throughout the week, activities build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with plenty of friendly competition and no eliminations. Designed for ages 5 to 12. Pricing is $90 per day or $400 for the full week.

'26 Farmfest Music Evening: Liver Down the River, Wednesday July 8, 4:30-8:30

Summer Music Evenings bring live performances, a food truck, and full access to animals and regular Farmfest activities for a relaxed night on the farm. For this edition, Liver Down The River takes the Sunflower Farm stage. The Colorado five piece formed in 2012 and is known for spirited shows that weave original songs with improvisation, moving from bluegrass to funk to spacey explorations. Their roots reach back to river floats, campfires, and late night picking, and they have shared bills with Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Railroad Earth. Songwriting grows from collective adventures, a love of nature, and a drive to keep moving. Wheels on Fire will be available for dinner purchases, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic drinks and snow-cones. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and blankets for comfortable listening during the event.

Part of the Summer Music Evenings series, this night on the Sunflower Farm stage features MaSango, led by award-winning Zimbabwean guitarist, vocalist, and producer Zivanai Masango with Helen Masango. Expect a joyful mix of traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean and Southern African music that connects with listeners of all ages. The farm will be open for its usual Farmfest activities and animal encounters. Dinner can be purchased from Dos Manos Food Truck, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic beverages and snow-cones. Attendees may want to bring chairs and blankets for a comfortable outdoor experience. If child tickets are sold out, adult tickets can be purchased instead.
