Sachiko Takaki's Film Night
Held at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center, this film program celebrates the life and artistry of Sachi Takaki, whose century-long ties to the Pueblo community shaped a remarkable legacy. Two films are presented with her granddaughter and producer, Jennifer Takaki, followed by a question-and-answer conversation with her sons, Mel and Alan Takaki. Sachi advanced Japanese paper arts into a refined contemporary form and was highlighted in the 2007 Japanese Jewels exhibition at this venue. Known for meticulous origami and for experimental works that explored texture and light, she often layered handmade papers of different weights, sometimes stained to reveal a soft inner glow, creating abstract compositions that resembled otherworldly landscapes. Guided by a humble respect for her materials and inspired by the sun, moon, and stars, she sought to reveal the beauty already present in the paper. She remained an influential cultural figure in Pueblo until her passing in 2018 at the age of 100. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for members, and Studio 210 is free. Member discounts apply at checkout when logged in. Complimentary snacks are provided, and beverages, including a family-recipe Kamari, are available for purchase. Afterward, we’ll gather in a circle, where a facilitator (or two or three) will guide the conversation, but the flow will remain flexible, allowing the discussion to unfold naturally. Together, we’ll explore questions (or not so thought-provoking), and give you the space to share your thoughts and experiences. This is a space for open conversation, personal reflections, and support. It’s completely free of charge, and the facilitator(s) will provide light nourishment for everyone—but if you’d like to share something, you’re welcome to bring it along. We look forward to fostering deeper connections and uplifting each other in a non-judgmental, supportive space. We ask that you pre-register so we know how much nourishments to provide.

Through accessible breathing practices paired with gentle movement, students are invited to experience how breath can energize the body, steady the emotions, and quiet mental noise. Rather than approaching breathwork as something complicated or intimidating, this experience keeps it approachable and practical. Some techniques are invigorating and expansive, while others are deeply calming and grounding, allowing participants to explore both activation and ease within the same session. This class is for anyone who feels scattered, fatigued, overstimulated, or simply in need of recalibration. It offers tools that can be carried into daily life—whether that’s managing stress, improving focus, or creating a moment of reset between responsibilities. Students will leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more grounded—with simple, effective breath practices they can confidently integrate into daily life. Students will also walk away with a handout on how to complete each breathwork and the associated benefits.

Pikes Peak International RacewayPrimal Rhythms: A Freeform Dance Class
Have you been searching for a space to truly dance like no one is watching? To release stuck energy or move emotions through the body? This class is your safe space to move freely! We will begin with gentle movements and yoga poses to warm up the body and a meditation to ground us into the present moment. Then the dance will begin! Playlists are curated to provide rhythms that allow you to move slowly and intentionally, build to an ecstatic dance of true self expression, and then gently guide you back into stillness where class will finish with breath work, healing frequencies, and space to integrate your dance experience. There is no right or wrong way to move in this sacred container. Just meeting yourself where you’re at each time you return to this practice. Dance is a powerful way to altar our energy and our state of consciousness. Freeform dance has been practiced as a healing art for thousands of years across cultures and spiritual belief systems. Our ancestors have honored the healing power of movement to invoke joy and celebration as well as a somatic practice to release trauma and pain. This space is intended to bring that ancient medicine back to your modern life. Please dress in clothes that allow for free movement but you are also welcome to adorn yourself in ways that express your own style and the energy you are working to embody in your dance practice. It’s also recommended that you bring a water bottle as well as an open mind and heart. ❤️

Liberty Point International SchoolCleansing the Energy of Your Name & Body
Throughout our lives, people say our name many times, and not always with positive energy. In this class, you’ll clear and release that energy from your name, as well as cleanse the energy of the organs within your physical body. ✨ Our names carry a vibration. They are spoken in moments of love, joy, frustration, disappointment, expectation, and everything in between. Over time, the energy attached to those moments can subtly linger, leaving impressions within our energetic field. Just as energy can collect around the vibration of our name, it can also accumulate within the physical body — especially in the organs and systems that hold stress, emotion, and life experiences. During this class, you’ll be guided through a gentle yet powerful energetic cleansing designed to release what your name and body may have absorbed over time. Through meditation, energetic awareness, and intentional practices, we will work with the vibration of your name, allowing old or heavy energy to clear and reset. We will also bring attention to the organs of the body, supporting them energetically so they can release stagnant energy and return to a more balanced state. This experience offers a space to reconnect with your own natural energy — not the energy others have placed upon you, but the authentic vibration that has always been yours. Many people feel a sense of lightness, clarity, and renewal as the body and energetic field begin to clear. This is an opportunity to release what no longer belongs to you and return to yourself with greater ease and alignment.
